My suggestion would be for an RPG based on the epic and awesome book series by Steven Erikson.

Why, well I could trot out the 10,000 reasons but I'll simply state the case with "because it is bloody epic. "

...and no one has done it yet as far as I can tell, though the author ran the game in GURPS as an RPG himself...but it is well deserving of it's own system and a solid firm to support and develop the game...

I and many others would second this, but I believe I heard somewhere that Mongoose aren't interested in doing it.

As for the RPG, I was working on a Runequest version:

This would be a huge winner for LEGEND!

Having the copyright for this would probably define LEGEND I reckon. Chaosium's BRP is identified with the Lovecraftian setting, The Design Mechanism's RQ6 will be identified with Glorantha, and LEGEND could be identified with the Malazan setting.

Yep it's a slam dunk for sure, this would grab the attention of everyone I think, its like getting the rights for the Game of Thrones at the moment. I can't think of a better property to grab actually.

I'm sure we'll see the Malazan setting as a rpg one day. I just hope its not D20 or GURPS...

I could cope with GURPS, just drop the system bits, but d20.. shudder...

I would buy this if Mongoose released it. In fact, it is the only new campaign setting I would invest in again. I am, otherwise, still quite content with the World of Greyhawk.

I think the flexibility of the Legend rules would work well with the Malazan setting. Oh boy, this would be Birthday, Christmas and everything else all together

I think the authors originally deleloped it from a D20 game?

I would love to see a proper campaign setting for this - mainly background and pictures - could be absolutely awesome :)

As far as I have ever read, Esselmont and Erickson used GURPS rules.

I would love a developed campaign world and proper racial explanations. Also, more detail on the Warrens

I posted a link above to a thread I was working on, but nobody else really contributed and I burned myself out.
