What would folks think of Bubblegum Crises?

You'd already have three Source Books for the Line up those being AD Police, Crash and 2040, also you could look at ADP New Case-files and Parasite Dolls.

Have to look in to the License though R. Talasorian had the license for the original BGC & ADP from AnimEigo back in the day, but the 2040 license was being handled by ADV who also had the rights to ADP New Case-files and Parasite Dolls.

I'd go for it, it's one of my favourite animes. Come to think of it why not get Slayers as well?

Isn't the licence still with R.Talsorian? They have/had a Fuzion based game out that covers AP-Police, Bubblegum Crisis and Crash (but not 2040)

I remember only seeing Bubblegum Crisis and supplements for it by R.Talsorian.

BGC: Before and After covers both the AD-Police series and Crash in detail while BGC:EX covers additional content and concepts

BGC RPG and it's supplements (I've owned all but am now down to just the Core book an Before & After) have either sold out or bean pulled many years ago, I think the License may have lapsed since then, hence why I suggested that Mongoose look in to it.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification. I think (I really don't remember exactly) that I got at least one source book in addition to the core book. I was not that interested in BGC itself (I have never seen the anime) but I just wanted to have a look at some Fuzion based cyberpunk genre game. It was not much help.

Truth to be told, I would have loved to see Appleseed :)

personalty I would have preferred if they had done BGC as an Interlock game instead of Fusion.

I was a long time Interlock (CP 2020) player. After the first round of a Fuzion based game I took CP -> Fuzion (Years ahead of CP 203x) and never looked back. IMHO Fuzion is the more mature, easier system fixing quite a few bugs. For everything "Action" oriented (Super-Heros, Mecha, my style of CP) it is a great system.

The BGC rules set is an "early" Fuzion and lacks some details/elements to make a quick switch to CP2020 style games. The Fuzion rules book published by R.Tal later is a better start.

CP203x isn't much of a start at all. It's more what happens if "Transhuman Space", "Terminator" and a bad video game stay in a dark warehouse too long.

 Yes, sadly I must agree with you on V3 :(

For some reason I never got around to convert my CP games to Fuzion...

Games I ran with Fuzion so far (Version in Parenthese)

Bubblgum Crisis: Gepanzerte Polizei (BGC-Variant)

Superheros/Light (Champions Variant)

Police Stories (R.Tal Fuzion Booklet)

Cyberpunk 2.0.2.0 (R.Tal Fuzion Booklet with some add-ons from V3)

All worked fine with the right groups. I.e the first two are not to be taken too serious so a group of "Real Roleplayers" will not work with them since they always go by "My char won't do that"

Looks like an interesting list.

My actual experience with Fuzion is from running couple of sessions of a home cooked fantasy game that used Fuzion and (then free) Atomik plug-ins. Sadly the game died so soon and I never had a chance to see how the game would have supported an extended play...

Given the way a lot of my early Traveller adventures went, I'd have to vote for the "Dirty Pair", especially the Adam Warren manga stories. Kei and Yuri usually complete their assignments, but the city/space station/arcology/planet they were sent to is left a total ruin...
