Starships: Engineering, and Accelerating while Jumping

1. Jumping has taken place for millenia.

2. If sublight acceleration while underway was problematic, if would have been reported by now.

3. Image

Acceleration creates pseudo gravitational effects for passengers onboard.

4. As such, if inertial compensation and onboard artificial gravity were turned off, this pseudo gravitational effect will be felt.

5. Therefore, non gravitated hulls under constant acceleration while jumping will create onboard gravity in the direction of acceleration.

6. Safest would be using a manoeuvre drive.

7. It's possible that using a reactionary rocket will blow out the jump bubble.

8. If the jump bubble can be blown out, it's possible that the starship will drop out of warp, prematurely.

Gravitic technology based maneuver drives do not work in jump space. You have to use a reaction drive to accelerate in jump space.
