Map Packs
Map Packs
Anyone know if there are plans to make new Map Packs? I would love to have the Solomani Rim and Alpha Crucis.
Re: Map Packs
Ummmm, yes. Though plan is for only a PDF release.

Re: Map Packs
The Map Packs would seem ill-suited to PDF release. The point is to have a big fold-out map.

Re: Map Packs
For home printing too - especially as the map packs as currently designed require you to print out the black background.AndrewW wrote:Printing costs went up...
If they provide a version with a white background for printing that would be great - we could do with that for the older map pack PDFs also.

Re: Map Packs
They do cost an eye-watering amount to print - if people were prepared to pay £15 for one, there would not be an issue, but low run posters like these are expensive.
It _did_ occur to me that something like this is an ideal Kickstarter project, a very low one with something like a £500 goal for the first map, and then perhaps we can go on to do others as stretch goals, or seperate Kickstarters. That would take some thought though...

Seems a waste of time as a pdf map pack. I'm not going to print it myself from a pdf, so simply wouldn't buy the product at all in that format.

What is in a map pack? How big is the map? Scale? Are they already printed in the books?

Some of the books do contain information on the sectors and subsectors map, though not the color format or full sector at a time map.

If you do get a printable pdf or a print run for them figured out, do 2300AD.
