A question re vacc suit skill and the action penalties laid out in Orbital/FS: Vacc Suit:

You mention (tho don't list for all suits) the the HEV suit has a required skill of vacc suit 2, standard vacc suit rules from Mongoose cause a negative dm for failing to meet that requirement.

Did you intend your action penalty to be in addition to the Mongoose DM or to replace it?

Hi, I did intend these Vacc Suit rules to be used instead of the penalties imposed by Mongoose. Just so everything fits together more cleanly.

Thanks for the response and clarification.

Looking at it again I realised it would have been close to impossible if the two had been added together: a PC with vacc 1 using the improved HEV suit would be at -5!

Big thanks for the setting, great to see TL9 being played up and such well thought out background.

Zozer Games did good making 2040AD era (Outpost Mars) and 2100AD era (Orbital) role-play using Mongoose Traveller.

I think Traveller is amazingly versatile. In a week or two I'm bringing out a (PDF) game called Attack Squadron: Roswell, and its set in 1953 New Mexico!

EDIT: I just remembered I came up with a Roman Empire setting book for Classic Traveller a while back, too, so yes, very flexible!
