Ideas on Mongoose staff responding to article submissions?
Anyone who's submitted something to Mongoose for publication - what kind of response time did you have from them? I don't expect things overnight, but generally speaking some sort of acknowledgement within a week is nice.

Re: Ideas on Mongoose staff responding to article submission
In the past - Matt has been fairly responsive, other staffers (one in particlular) tends to be virtually silent for long stretches even one the project is started. An Issue I am sort of discussing with Matt in E-Mail.
But, do *not* let that be a measure of what you can expect because I have no knowledge of what was going on at Mongoose HQ.

It can be anything between a few hours to a couple of months. It really depends on the current workload. If they don't have time to go through it and have a good look, then they wont get back to you half cocked.

Matt replies promptly. Other staff, I've never heard back from, not even an acknowledgement of my e-mail.
Re: Ideas on Mongoose staff responding to article submission
On the couple of occasions when I have contacted Matt he's been very responsive and helpful. On another couple of occasions I contacted other staffmembers who were quick enough to respond, but quite... curt. That was a while ago, though, so there may have been a turnover in staff since then.

Apologies for any curtness - consider that my fault as I was probably riding them that day
As for articles, funny you should mention it, I picked up the file and started going through them last night! A couple more have already been approved, and I will get to the others ASAP. Please do not let this stop you sending more arfticles in, as I tend to let them build up a bit and go through them all in one hit!

Yep, the longest I've had to wait for a reply from Matt was a few days, but I've had near-instant replies up to 11pm - even when I suspect he was ready to rip my throat out because I'd found yet another potential problem with the vehicle creation rules...
Oh and Matt: I just realised, I never did get those damned designs done for you - I just found the worksheets in my "to do" tray, buried under a load of work stuff... I thought I'd gotten them done.
If I can get my head into the game and get them redone, want them as a free download? Or should I wait until the book's out so I can avoid duplicating any that are in there already?

Best wait for the book now (just a few days to wait!).
Oh, and another article was accepted today!

I've received near-instant responses from Matt as well, and even replies at midnight, Greenwich time. That's dedication.

Well, as long as we are contributing... I've gotten a response from msprange before while they where at GenCon.
Re: Ideas on Mongoose staff responding to article submission
I've had replies from Matt before I've asked the question. Clearly he's either in posession of a wormhole or a psychic. I once decided NOT to ask the question, thereby causing a paradox, but it gave me a headache.
Re: Ideas on Mongoose staff responding to article submission
It looks like I'm on the far right of the bell curve for response times...

Matt: OK m8 - I feel really bad about that - with the hard drive going down and then the influx of work, I completely forgot about it.
