We have several exciting projects in the works for Traveller at the moment - more news on them soon. First up though is The Great Traveller Clean-Up!

We are looking for errors and inconsistencies, great and small, across the entire Traveller range. Traveller-supremo, Don McKinney, has (fatefully?) stepped up to the challenge and has already started compiling a comprehensive list, but would like your input so we can be sure we catch everything.

If you have noticed anything a little wonky in any current Traveller book, please drop him a line at travellererrata@gmail.com.

We will be using this information to prepare comprehensive (and free!) correction PDFs, to manage reprints (eventually, these take more time) and to tie up loose ends with any of the (at the moment purely theoretical) second edition supplements.

Please? I don't want to take the chance that anything was misplaced or lost. Links work as well!

Thanks!

Nah, that would mean sticking them on my webserver or something... Can just send them along again (they be in text format, luckily I've kept them). Though can save a number of pages since I'll exclude the original Book 2: High Guard ones, and just send the LBB2: High Guard for that.

Send everything to travellererrata@gmail.com and I'll review the material.

And Thanks!

I would like the show my appreciation for this effort, and kudos to Mr. McKinney for taking on the task.

My hat's off to Mongoose and Don for this. Don certainly has the track record for this type of thing considering his curation of the Megatraveller errata. Compulsive-obsessive streak I wonder, or just a masochist :D

He might be regretting it by now... He might go missing for awhile as he digs his way out.

How do we know which problems you already pointed out, so
we do not repeat the same problems over and over again ?

Well, the largest portion where from High Guard. Though there are bits and pieces from elsewhere included as well. Probably better though for someone to send stuff in that has already been mentioned rather then have something missed.

Who cares and doesn't matter. Better he get an error reported a dozen times, than it never get reported because everyone thought the other person reported it.

Don, perhaps, because he is the poor guy who has to waste his
time on reading the same stuff again and again ?

In my view an errata thread with the problems already sent to
him would help to avoid too many duplicates and would make
the task a little easier for all involved.

Matthew and I considered several options, and agreed on going offlist to e-mail. I don't mind seeing the same issue repeatedly, it stresses the need. HOWEVER, I will ask that people please reference page numbers and books in their e-mails.

Sending me "the pulse laser is broken" is not helpful. Sending me that message, and then noting the page numbers in the Traveller Core Rulebook and High Guard which are impacted are very helpful. Also, don't send me links to discussions, as it's sometimes difficult to know what issue is being discussed, and especially difficult to figure out page references.

Thanks!
