Evening all,
Is data on page 135 of the MGT Core book that states a Modular Cutter is 50-dtons not including a module correct?
A module is 30-dtons which means that a Modular Cutter without a module shoud be 20-dtons. Of course I may be over literal in reading the design data.
Is there a Vehicle design system in MGT?
If yes, which book can I find the system?

The 50 Td Modular Cutter is composed of two sections, a 20 Td Flight Systems Section and the 30 Td Mission Module. Although the core vehicle is only 20 Td it is counted as 50 Td for hangar space since it includes a framework for the module to connect to, it could also be argued the performance does not improve when operated without module due to reduced structural strength. Extra modules may be carried based on their actual 30 Td.

Re: Modular Cutter and vehicle questions
Mornig Lane Shutt & GypsyComet,
Thank both of you for taking the time to answer my question concerning the modular cutter.
To summarize:
HG has the small craft design sequence and, in theory, Monogoose is working on a vehicle design system.
For the purpose of docking space the main hull of a modular cutter without a module is considered 50-dtons.
I hope that Mongoose follows through with the vehicle design system and that they do not follow the CT: Striker path. I'm still trying to create a spreadsheet to automate the design process. Either the calculator or the paper loses track of one or more of the numbers every time.
Again thank you both for the help,

an upcoming Golden Age Starshjips release from Avenger (LSP Modular Starship) will detail about 15 modules with MGT High Guard stats and deckplans for all modules. *End Advertisement*.
The artwork will be finished very soon on this title.

The supplement has the 300 ton modular starship (made by LSP) and 14 or so cutter modules, so I have not approach any other module sizes, given the staggering number of modular cutters that must be out there in the OTU...

Not to mention the 100ton Modular Shuttle that carries 2 of the 30ton cargo modules.mtaylor wrote:The supplement has the 300 ton modular starship (made by LSP) and 14 or so cutter modules, so I have not approach any other module sizes, given the staggering number of modular cutters that must be out there in the OTU...

Yeah there's at least 30 modules in GT: Modular Cutter. I liked the detail in the book. I'm planning on getting GA starships: Modular cutter from Comstar/Avengermtaylor wrote:The supplement has the 300 ton modular starship (made by LSP) and 14 or so cutter modules, so I have not approach any other module sizes, given the staggering number of modular cutters that must be out there in the OTU...
