SM PDF on DTRPG is the messed up version

Postby hdrider67 » Fri Aug 15, 2008 11:47 am

So, I finally got around to downloading the fixed version of Spinward Marches today. The first place I checked was page 39.

The image is still corrupted.

P45? Yep, ditto. It looks like all the formatting problems are present in the copy I downloaded a few minutes ago.

I'm sending Matt an email to let him know. I'm guessing this has something to do with the crash on DTRPG this week.

I thought I'd warn folks not to waste one of their downloads as I just did.

Yeah, I finally got around to purchasing the pdf yesterday to accompany my dead-tree version I bought and I have the same issues.

Actually, it seems that a number of the images are 'off-kilter', the only ones that really annoy me are the map on page 56, and one that apparently isn't a 'mistake' (since it's the same way in the printed book), I really wish the map on page 122 was higher resolution so that it could be read (and possibly printed out for my wall :D)

When Matt uploaded the corrected version of SM (before the DTRPG crash - heh, I know how they feel  ) I got an email saying the revised version had been uploaded, and my download count was readjusted back up to 5 (from 4 as I had already downloaded the wonky version).

This looks like a problem with the crash DTRPG had all right. I downloaded the fixed version before the crash and all these pages are fine for me now.

Looks like page 44 is also wonky even now after the crash...

Perhaps a dodgy copy was restored after the crash. My page 44 is fine.

Hi guys,

We are aware of this, and are just waiting for Drivethru's database to settle down - anyone purchasing the Spinward Marches right now will get the revised one for free as soon as it is 'safe'.
