The name's Prefect. Ford Prefect.

I had an idea the other night to create a character based on Ford Prefect, of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I'm happy with the outcome, even though the process took a sharp turn toward the end and I wound up with secret agent Ford Prefect. The idea is that, per his Term 4 Event (Mishap 2, censorship/controversy, +2 to Qualification for next career), Prefect uncovered some kind of political dirt that would have caused widespread unrest and loss of life (subsector Duke selling his own citizens into slavery, maybe?). The Imperial security service suppressed the story in the interests of stability, quietly removed the Duke, and recruited Prefect. I decided I'd follow the Agent career until I started taking ageing penalties... and started taking penalties on my very next ageing roll, so Prefect ended up only spending one term as a spy. He's not great in a fight, but he's smart, well-read, and modestly famous, and could be a real asset to a crew looking to uncover things others would prefer to keep hidden.
