Previewing Traveller Material
Hello, fellow Travellers!
Would like your opinions on something...
At the moment, we are previewing a fair bit of new Traveller material on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/mongoosepublishinguk)... but we understand some of you will not be too keen on using that platform. We have started (today!) to preview a little material on Twitter, but it is perhaps not brilliant at displaying art.
So, what platforms would you like to see advance Traveller information on?

How about just putting it up on your own forum?MongooseMatt wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2020 8:57 pmSo, what platforms would you like to see advance Traveller information on?
Re: Previewing Traveller Material
I second that motion. I completely understand the business necessity of maintaining a presence on Facebook, Twitter, etc - but I have absolutely no desire to involve myself in social media myself.
Unless I go into a career where it's more or less obligatory....

Some quick comments...
This forum is indeed obvious, but it needs a thorough update first - which is coming but not immediately.
There are also things coming on Youtube at bit sooner, but it will be limited in scope (though obviously a lot flashier).

Can’t you just email previous customers with a newsletter?

Re: Previewing Traveller Material
Personally, I use Twitter more often than Facebook. YouTube videos of course are nice for giving a larger audience visual input. But videos are much harder to create and can really look terrible. It's a serious investment.

Monte Cook Games do a weekly newsletter that is emailed out and on their website. Always a good read. Maybe something similar. It's not overly long

Re: Previewing Traveller Material
Email or the main homepage gets my vote!
As a sidenote I just took a peek at the Facebook-previews and oh my! The artwork from Aliens vol 1 looks amazing and if I hadn’t already decided to but that book I’d surely be convinced now!
While it seems 2020 is doing everything it can to go down as the worst year in recent history, it seems Mongoose is equally hellbent on making it awesome! Looking back at what you guys have released so far this year, and adding up the stuff on the “coming soon” list, you’re sure doing a stellar job! Thank you soo much for making the hobby and this year that much better!

This forum and/or newsletters, please.
Re: Previewing Traveller Material
Looks like more than one method of communication might be in order...
Re: Previewing Traveller Material
I use neither Twitter nor Facebook. My preference would be either this forum or bring back the Planet Mongoose blog on the homepage.

The blog would be nice.

Re: Previewing Traveller Material
Okay, we are going to take a proper look at upgrading our forums so we can do previews here
