Core Rulebook and Starter Set Notice

Hi everyone,

Just to let you all know, due to a combination of the virus hitting supply lines and you all sitting at home and deciding to start new Traveller campaigns (!), we are currently out of stock on the Traveller Core Rulebook and Starter Set. Which is a bit embarrassing, but there it is.

They are being reprinted right now and are currently on the web site for 'pre-order'. This means you can still get the PDF edition immediately (and free with a pre-order), and the printed version will be sent out to you as soon as it is in our hands.

As soon as we have an expected delivery date, I will update this thread.

UPDATE: The Starter Set is not going to be reprinted in its current form - those who pre-ordered it have already been contacted, and we will have news on a new Starter Set in the (little more distant) future. However, we are looking at an 'Explorer's Edition' to be used as a new entry point into Traveller - more news as it comes!

As a data point, I ordered a copy of High Guard from my FLGS, and yesterday they let me know their suppliers don't have any copies and likely won't have them for some time.

Not sure if this is a US supply issue or a concern with the book being in stock in general.

Our US warehouse is fully stocked with High Guard - if you can get your FLGS to give their distributors a prod, they can most certainly get hold of this book (the Core Rulebook and Starter Set are the only Traveller titles currently out of stock in the US).

The Core Rulebook is expect to begin shipping again late November/early December

The Starter Set will, unfortunately, not be returning in its present form (the PDF edition will remain available). Something new will appear at a later date.

The Tinath milieu is a subsector and campaign featured in the starter set. Information about it was exclusive to this set, which omitted the information on the Sindal subsector from the core rulebook, but instead delivered the aforementioned milieu. Tinath lies far beyond chartered space, but within the same galaxy.

Quick word about the reprint of the Core Rulebook:

We were expecting it to arrive last week from the printers, but apparently the boat they were on decided to take a jaunt around the Baltic, as you do (a lot of redirection going on in international shipping at the moment, due to the virus), so we are now expecting it to arrive in 7-10 days time. It will take another week or so for it to get from our warehouse to us, but we will be sending them all out very early in the New Year.

Good news!

The Core Rulebook has finally arrived at our US warehouse!

We are already shipping out pre-orders for this to everyone in North America, plus those in the rest of the world who pre-ordered before December.

The rest will be shipped as soon as it arrives at our UK office, which we estimate to be the week after next - we will let you know if this changes.

The Traveller Core Rulebook is now finally back in stock in both the US and UK warehouses and, if you have been waiting for your Core Rulebook to be processed and sent off to you, it will be in the post by the end of today!
