Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
We have updated the Traveller Core Rulebook!
If you re-download the PDF from our site or Drivethru, you will find you now have a new version of the file.
Alternatively, you can download the individual items updated straight from: https://www.mongoosepublishing.com/downloads.htm

Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
Nice! Was about time and also, timely with the pdf release of some new books/campaigns!
Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
Got the message, downloaded and now need to look over the material.
My hardcopy core book is getting well worn. When might new prints of the book be published?

Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
Matthew, I've been critical of errata not being corrected, so it's only fair that I acknowledge the update: Thank you! All the changes look good to me.
(now do the same for Highguard)
cheers!

I'm very happy with the errata as well. Well done and thank you, Matthew!

Trying to use the link sent to me through Drivethru gives the following error:
INVALID DISCOUNT MAX USES: THE SPECIAL DISCOUNT YOU ARE TRYING TO USE HAS ALREADY BEEN REDEEMED THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF TIMES ALLOWED

That is a bit weird - drop Drivethru a line about that and, if you get no joy, give me a shout.

Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
Apologies - turns out it's my fault - I opened a notification for a Deep Night PDF I got and clicked that a second time, that was the issue. Doh! Now resolved, thanks Matt.MongooseMatt wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 8:07 pmThat is a bit weird - drop Drivethru a line about that and, if you get no joy, give me a shout.

Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
Is there an errata file? I have a hardcopy but didn’t get a PDF at the time.

Thanks for the errata - much appreciated
There are at least two versions of the errata.
One from DriveThru RPG with a file size of 517601 bytes.
One from https://www.mongoosepublishing.com/downloads.htm with a file size of 548741 bytes.
Which is the correct one?

The file name should be marked '2020'

The file included in the DriveThru update is called "travupdate 2020.pdf" (520 kB), version 1.7, timestamp 2020-06-14 14:55.MongooseMatt wrote: ↑ The file name should be marked '2020'
The file linked on your Downloads page is called "travupdate.pdf" (549 kB), version 1.4, timestamp 2020-06-12 11:20.

Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
I am now wondering whether Drivethru is packaging PDFs a bit differently, because those are both the same file...
Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
They Do. They add your name & order number plus some other data to add security to each PDF. The fie size is bound to be slightly different.

They are repackaging the pdf to watermark it with order number, but that should not change the metadata?MongooseMatt wrote: ↑ I am now wondering whether Drivethru is packaging PDFs a bit differently, because those are both the same file...
At a glance the files look identical.
You said the file should be named "2020", which the file linked on your download page isn't.
Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
If I check my Drivethru both under the Main rule book and Starter Set, the Update is called travupdate.pdf, which matches the name of the file here.

Re: Official Traveller Core Rulebook Update
Agreed, I redownloaded the file from DriveThru and it is downloaded as "travupdate.pdf" timestamped now, so disregard any timestamps I used earlier.
I must have renamed the file to keep track of when the update was released and forgotten about it (it was several days ago...)
