Traveller fans might like.(Have not picked it up myself yet though),
Looks lite it Would be a fun read or even perhaps provide a home brew setting for a Traveller universe.

I was about to go on a rant about GRRM and his workong on side projects rather than finishing The series, but I feel better after reading the article.
Still won’t read it, though. I read all of the Fire and Ice books to date, but no real desire to pick up the next one if it ever comes out. I liked the stories, but not necessarily the writing.

Well...we *know* he played Superworld for years. The origin of the WILD CARDS novels was Martin (and a bunch of his fellow writers) trying to find a way to monetize all the time they were wasting playing superheroes. So Traveller isn't out of the question.
