Rulebook reprint
Rulebook reprint
Been away for quite a while but thinking of picking up the 2e rules. Sorry if I missed an announcement; I guess since the status of the 2e core rulebook is 'Pre-order', and is currently out of stock most places, this means it is being reprinted? Is it a straight reprint or will there be errata/corrections?

Re: Rulebook reprint
It is being reprinted, a few small corrections have been made, and it should be back in stock pretty much any day now!
Re: Rulebook reprint
Will those of us who already purchased this get a pdf of the corrected version?

You can always get PDFs of books you have purchased, for whatever reason, just by dropping me a line!

Re: Rulebook reprint
So that means the pdf has been updated as well? That's easy to check on DriveThru, but I bought my copy through Leisure Games and their BitsnMortar pdf distribution. Any idea if that will have been updated?
Re: Rulebook reprint
I emailed Matt a request for the revised pdf and I received a link for a free download from DriveThru. The pdf I received is named "Traveller_Core_Rulebook_erratajun2016_Ebook". No revisions have have jumped out at me but the date in the title is June 2016, which is before I purchased my original core rulebook.pdf, so I'm not sure this the current revised version. But Matt did say that there weren't many changes, so maybe I just haven't found them yet.

Re: Rulebook reprint
There was a number missing for each ship in the January 2016 PDF. Later PDFs have that number included on the ship charts now. I don't know what that number was (hull number?). I don't have the PDF. Just the 1st printing of the hardcover, which is missing the number.

Re: Rulebook reprint
I'm not sure I would trust the "...errratajun..." pdf?

Hi guys,
Apologies, the wrong file was up for some reason - it has now been updated, so just re-download and you should be good. If you see anything else that needs attention, just give us a shout!

Matt,
I purchased MgT2 from Leisure Games, so I get the pdf from their Bits & Mortar download link. So no idea if they have updated or not. Have you sent the updated pdf to these providers, or do they have to clock what's going on and contact you?

Re: Rulebook reprint
Request: it would be nice if for every version of every title, there were an errata file. For print versions, a full, detailed errata would be nice. For PDF versions, all that would really be necessary would be a list of page numbers with changes, so people who have printed some or all of their PDFs know what to reprint. For both print and PDF, it might be handy to break out errata that are material changes or clarifications, as opposed to simple glitches that people can read around.

Re: Rulebook reprint
Sheet(s)? I doubt that any errata for 2nd Edition would fill a paragraph.
Re: Rulebook reprint
Maybe think of it less as an "errata sheet" and more of a "changelog". It's very helpful for owner of earlier printings to know what's changed.
