Two powers move ships along in space. Fold Space is able to move a ship without a Jump Drive, just an M-Drive is needed.
The second power is Drive augmentation where a couple of points extends the range of a Jump by 1.
It will be interesting to see if 2nd edition versions of those types of powers make it into the Rift product. Boosting range of a Jump Drive could help cross the Rift, and not needing a Jump drive at all would let smaller ships move around quite handily.

100 ton ships or greater although that is not specified. Maybe a smaller craft could be noodling across rifts if the occupants do not mind close quarters. Every 200 tons of hull is a -1 DM
