Sneak Peek - Kickstarter Traveller Box Set!

Postby msprange » Fri Jun 23, 2017 11:24 am

Good afternoon, fellow Travellers!

We'll be making an 'official' announcement next week, but I wanted you, the most dedicated fans of Traveller, to know first.

At the start of July we will be launching a new Kickstarter for Traveller, a box set covering not only the Great Rift and all its mysteries, but also the mechanics of deep space exploration. We are very excited about this project (being written right now by fan favourite M J Dougherty), as it will be lifting the veil on one of the secret places in the Traveller universe.

More details in a few days, and we hope to see you all there!

The most forgotten elephant in the room, the Great Rift. Interesting.

Looking forward to it. With all the "stopovers" in the Great Rift, it'd be cool to get some adventure inspiration for the extensive area it covers. I've been thinking about the Browne and Auitawry systems and how the heck people get there. Maybe this set will have some answers or ideas about such places.

And I said "no more kickstarters" " DOh! Though I must say after the Paranoia situation I am wary of dipping my toes in again. I'm not waiting another 2 years!

Indeed, we took that to heart. As you will see on the Kickstarter page next week, we have also taken steps - two of the three books are already written and in the process of being laid out (you will see them being put together throughout the Kickstarter), and we have brought M J Dougherty on board to work on this project, very possibly the most reliable RPG writer out there.
