Starship Weapons With Auto Question

Suppose I have 2 Plasma Pulse Cannons mounted on a turret
2D Damage, Auto 4

If firing a burst at a single target, would they cause
2D (base)+ 2 (D of second weapon) + 4 (auto)+ effect,
or does the auto stack in some way like the base d damage?

I would agree with this method. We have no special rules for trait Auto in space combat, so can only use the traits from the personal combat.

Yeah, I agree too. It sounds reasonable. Iirc in 1st edition the starship-scale autofire weapons had a note requiring them to fire full-auto, but I've not seen anything similar in 2nd edition, so burst-fire away!

Adding together the damage dice but firing as if it's a single weapon (in this case, 2D+2 auto 4) is the way linked weapons works in both CSC (with battledress) and vehicle handbook.
