Blueprint suggestions

Hi guys.

I have been asked by A GM also wants to do A 1st Editon Pirates Of Drinax Campaign using The 2nd Edition Ship Rules and Blueprints and is doing this in case she doesn't like the changes made in 2nd Edition

Her players have convinced Oleb, through Rao, to have them build A Royal Guard Fleet to protect Drinax's Royal Family and leave The Starguard to defend The Kingdom

They have Cr 24.1 billion and must have at least 11,400 tons build and are looking at 2 2,100 ton Imperial versions of The Aslan 1,200 ton pocket battleship, 1 2,500 ton version of The 2,400 ton Imperial Escort Carrier, 3 1,000 ton versions of The 800 Ton Mercenary Cruiser and 1 600 ton version each of the 400 ton Gazelle, The 300 ton Pirate Cruiser and The 200 ton Harrier

Can you please draw up some diagrams and blueprints, suitable for Ships using the 2nd edition ship designs in 1st edition for my friend? and could you give hints tips and advise on 1 or both of other ships they could have build or bettter ships?, they are having them build at Tobia and are getting them build for definite and this is due, in Adventure 6, kidnapping Krond, Olegby, The Duke Niece, Red and Steyland, faking their rescue, recovering 90.4 million of The 160.1 million ransom and using Adventure 9's Zhodami to manipulate Tobia's Duke into arranging that as a mixture of returning a favour, a reward for Drinax's Work and a diplomatic gesture and all done fairly early due to my GM doing Adventures 6 and 9 as the3rd and 4th adventures

Just curious why you don't just draw up some plans that you guys like?

Once you get some rough plans you will have the pride of knowing they are you designs.

I would suggest simply using the 1.0 deckplans with 2.0 stats.
The only significant change in deckplans from 1.0 to 2.0 might be the number of staterooms.
If you are converting to a ship of the same class with the same number of staterooms than everything else is trivial.
Does it really matter if a 50 ton cargo bay is + or - 5 squares on the deckplans?
No, because you just record up to 50 tons of cargo and be done with it.

Here is my quick and dirty conversion ship conversion from 1.0 to 2.0:
1. Just calculate the new hull points.
2. Keep the same armor values.
3. Convert each weapon to the new values.
4. Multiply the operational weeks by 2.
5. Keep the same jump and maneuver stats.
6. Assume there is just enough power for all systems except when making a jump, or with jump if military.
7. Keep the same deck plans. (Doesn't effect combat, only boarding actions.)

You can do all the other calculations and redraw the deckplans later if desired.
