The updated deck plans which you could download (travdeckplanspt1.pdf, travdeckplanspt2.pdf) do have airlocks (though not all).

Did I miss something or is there no Iron Man optional rule this time? Or is it reserved for the Companion?

Hello AndrewW,

I am going to combine your post from Fri Jan 22, 2016 5:32 pm with this one to save time I hope.

I have the PDF files identified above and did find at least on hull with the annotation 3. Air lock. I probably missed the annotation in the 2008 edition of the core rulebook too. Actually, I think I'll blame book gremlins for hiding the information. ;-)

Traveller Core Rulebook 2008 p. 137 agrees with the new edition of HG at 100 tons of ship. Is there a specific forum or sub-forum to note possible errata here?
AndrewW wrote:
No errata needed. The Core Rulebook gives the typical "at least", High Guard defines at as 1 free airlock per 100 tons.

Note additional airlocks beyond this can be added (2 tons minimum, MCr0.1 per ton), such as on small craft which don't have a 'free' one.
My apologies for the confusion my question about errata is for Traveller Core Rulebook 2016 p 143: "Airlocks: A ship has at least one airlock per 500 tons."

My interpretation of one airlock per 500 tons according to the 2016 core rulebook and with the information in the reply indicates that all hulls below 500 tons have to purchase an airlock at a cost of 2 tons and pay MCr0.2 to have them installed.
Hulls 500 tons or greater get an airlock that requires space without costing additional MCr.

Per the reply time stamped Fri Jan 22, 2016 2:08 pm the new HG design sequence text Airlocks: A ship has at least one airlock per 100 tons.

If the new HG design sequence is at least one airlock per 100 tons of hull, which agrees with 2008 core rulebook spacecraft design, I think that Traveller Core Rulebook p. 143 should be changed to match the new HG/2008 core rulebook rules. One reason is that hopefully none of the designs published from 2008 until now won't have to be corrected. Okay, I hope the changes will be minimal versus the, in my opinion, fiasco when CT changed design sequence from Book 2 Starships to Book 5 High Guard. A few of the Book 2 designed original hulls cannot be built using Book 5 and nothing was done at the time to update the designs leaving a mess that exists today over in CT.

Thank you for the reply and hopefully I made a little more sense in this post.

The Core Rulebook indicates that hulls usually have at least one airlock per 500 tons, this doesn't mean they only have one per 500 tons, or that any additional cost.

High Guard gives the actual rule, which is up to one airlock per 100 tons without cost or space requirements, additional airlocks can be purchased.

Do to changes in the design system all the ships will need redoing to match. Though can still be used without changes, but if you want them to match the new rules they will need to be updated. An early idea was to have the updated design system match the old one, but in the end in order to put in all the updates that where desired into the updated system that idea wasn't workable.

All the Core Rulebook ships have been redone with the updated design system. All the ships that will be in High Guard are also being done with the updated system (in progress).

Yep. For me, such a thing will be just a single square on a ship map. Anything more squares than that will also have ship lockers and decontamination freshers in it probably.

Hello again AndrewW,

I'll withhold further comment until I have a copy of the new HG so that I can verify, at least I hope I can follow the directions correctly, a couple of the designs in Traveller Core Rulebook 2016. Of course with my luck I'll fail to get a match.

Thank you again for the reply.

If it's not there, contact DriveThru, they resolved my issue fairly quickly.

So I am also one of the people who never received a credit and when I contacted DriveThru they wrote back quite quickly with the following:
"Unfortunately we do not have access to discount codes. For any kickstarter codes or coupons you will need to contact the publisher of the product or whomever you made your purchase from and they will have to get you a code to use on our site to access the downloadable portion of your order."
While this might be a confusion with a kickstarter over purchasing a Beta, I'm not sure how to go forward with this.

And honestly, I'm not the only one who didn't receive a coupon so its not just "stuck in a spam file" in my email and I receive notices regularly from DTRPG so its not my "blocking emails" that is the issue.

However, easily fixed (Drivethru are very good at this): Drop them a line at http://www.drivethrurpg.com/pub_contact_us.php and they will sort you out ASAP!
Matt, I never got my coupon and when I contacted Drivethru customer service they sent me this:

So, what do I do now?

I contacted DTRPG as directed above and referenced my original Order number when I purchased the Beta. Can be found in your order history. They sent me the link for discounted purchase right away.

I've had the lightest of skims and there is much to smile about in the new edition. It's great fun to see what made the cut in the final release.

One thing I thought might be missing is any record of Hull Points for the Common Spacecraft? A fairly crucial ship stat missing? Or did I miss them?!

So, it appears my question got lost in the shuffle. From earlier:

I just want to double-check: If I pre-order this book from you here online at Mongoose, I can get the PDF version through the Bits and Mortar program? Or would I have to order it (and obviously show proof) from a local gaming shop? I'd prefer the online route, as the only store in town that participates is all the way across town...
