Anyone else seen this series?
It's only 7 episodes so far (of 10 in the first series), but it is looking very good (I'm about 3 episodes in) - very Traveller 2300 but just set in the solar system and a cold war between Earth and Mars.

Re: The Expanse
I really liked the books and now the show.
The story I've heard about it is that it started as an online play by post role playing game, and pretty soon the people writing the posts realized it was book material. That flavor has carried over to the books and the show.

It's the best show of its kind that I've seen in a decade.Rick wrote:Anyone else seen this series?

Explains the three story arcs.

They have done an excellent job transferring the first book to the small screen so far.
Re: The Expanse
Ok, so I've caught up to episode 7 and it's getting damn tense. I can keep up with the multiple stories and characters and I get a sense that they are converging, but the mysteries of "how?" and "why?" are still not clear, which is brilliant and exciting - there's nothing worse than a series where you can see the series end halfway through said series (looking at you - Supernatural!).
Great story, well told. Gripping stuff.

Having read all of the books I find it to be a great show. The acting, writing, and SFX are all top notch. I admittedly worried that it might be too heady for the average viewer leading to an early cancellation but so far so good.
