They will be box sets, but whether we do them by battle or by fleet, no idea yet!

As a naval miniatures gamer since the mid-seventies, I'm always pleased to see additional manufacturers but I do find the choice of scale commercially puzzling. Between GHQ, C in C, Viking Forge, SHQ and Panzerschiffes, the range of ships available in the WW2 arena is substantial. Most existing naval gamers in that scale have fairly complete fleets and while Panzerschiffes is certainly the low end of detail, GHQ, Viking Forge and C in C (if you use their added boats and mast detailing) are very good. Every major capital ship is available and generally in multiple configurations and from multiple manufacturers already. Is there enough potential for attracting new naval gamers who are yet to build fleets?

I would have thought 1/3000, where only three maunufacturers offer product with two, Davco/Skytrex and MY, very limited in their offerings and a third, Navwar, while a very complete range, is offered by a single elderly individual with no guarantee of business continuity. In addition, the CAD quality possible in resin genuinely offers a clear opportunity for a major quality increase above all others in the 1/3000 market whereas given GHQ's existing standards, at best the CAD/resin offering can produce only a slight marginal improvement at the top of the 1/2400 heap.

Obviously this is more for people who dont have a ton of ships unless your the kind of person who will sell old stuff for better quality.

I'm assuming it is still conjecture at this point but as things go foward, a side by side comparison with GHQ is probably the best way to show a quality difference as they are, for the moment, the state of the art in 1/2400.

What I have seen in pics for the detail is very good at the guessed cost.
