Victory at Sea: Cold War
Okay, so my little home brewed suppliment is coming along well.
I've almost finished the fleet lists (having cut out 4 fleets).
Here is the details.
Fleets
USSR
USA
Britain
France
Canada
China
Australia
Argentina
With the option to create a NATO task force.
4 types of units
Surface ships (mostly Destroyer or smaller)
Submarines
Missile weapons (Torpedoes included)
Aircraft (Choppers included)
Weapons of note
20mm CIWS (Phalanx)
British 30mm CIWS
Soviet Kastan missile gun system
Ship wreck missile
Units of note
Nimitz class carrier
Kirov class Cruiser
Kiev class aviation cruiser
Illustrious class Carrier (with Harriers!)
Anybody want any details on anything? Any Questions about the rules?

Really? There are some pretty significant differences between many of the weapons fielded even by the "main players" during the Cold War. Quite a range of speeds, capabilities, ranges, fusing mechanisms, warhead sizes etc. all of which could probably be represented at a simple level in a VAS-type set of rules to give more "colour" to the rules.
Give me a shout via PM if you want any playtesting / commenting done

The Hermes is the Centaur-class Aircraft Carrier on the list since I believe she was the only ship of that type (even though she wasn't actually the same as the rest of the class, she was originally planned as one of them and still based on the same design) still in service in the 1980-1990 time period.
