Mongoose RPGs Back on the Shelves!
Since we closed down our US warehouse last year, it has been getting steadily difficult for retailers to get hold of our books, especially in North America.
We are happy to announce that Mongoose has recently signed an agreement with Studio 2 Publishing to enable worldwide distribution of our Traveller and Legend RPG ranges - your local retail store will now be able to get hold of the full range of our books once from their favourite distributor.
You can also order our books direct from Studio 2 Publishing yourself, as well as Mongoose's normal web site;
http://studio2publishing.com/collection ... /traveller
http://studio2publishing.com/collection ... ems/legend
This deal also means many brand new titles, for both Legend and Traveller, will be appearing throughout this year. You can find the complete release schedule here;

heheh. It says July for that mystery book, and it is in Editing, so i expect it to be out 3rd or 4th week of this month! Could be exciting
On another note...Matt....the proofread changes for Sheoloth I sent you (twice)...still not been notified by DriveThru that the PDF has been updated....when are we likely to see the corrected version? Seeing as how the Print date is November....lol
and I Still need to proofread the other two Sheoloth books.......

Cool - please share when you can...The Wolf wrote:I'll have news on the book I am starting this week, very very soon too.
Incidentally, I notice that a certain pirate stronghold that you designed has just had an update for Pathfinder. Have you considered doing a Legend version as well? I've had a go at converting a few of the NPCs for my own game, but would love to see an "official" version - especially as Pirates of Legend has been released under the OGL.

I'd be happy to consider a Legend version of Blackrock, of course I'd have to check with Rogue Genius Games
Edit: OK, we could be on for a Legend version of Blackrock. I am curious what the market for it would be, and so are RGG.

Re: Mongoose RPGs Back on the Shelves!
I think there is always a market for small-scale sandbox locations that can be inserted into a GMs campaign with minimal work.
I'm not sure how large the overall market for Legend material is - a lot of people picked up the Legend core rulebook and were impressed by it, but I'm not sure that huge numbers of people outside the d100 community are actively playing it (possibly because print support from Mongoose went on hiatus for a while due to distribution chain problems). Maybe dual-stat Pathfinder / Legend versions would provide maximum exposure. Alternatively you could see if Design Mechanism would allow a dual-stat RQ 6 / Legend version under their Runequest Gateway license. Another option might be to stat Blackrock for Cakebread & Walton's Renaissance system so that it could be used with their Pirates & Dragons campaign setting. As the game system is OGC and derived from the same roots as Legend, the conversion should be straightforward.

I think it'd be easy to convert from PF to Legend for Blackrock, because of working so much on things like SGB and so forth.
I'm certainly all for more Legend material under by belt, and in the hands of gamers.
