Thanks Darren, I hope to live up to your praise and Matt's expectations.

Right now, I'd better remove the digit and get to work! When I get near completion I'll post some excerpts for you all. Suffice to say, expect another Arcania of Legend title in the near future.

Cheers,

Jim

Expect (too) to see some of my own stuff appear as well, I have a few ideas to pitch to Matthew. That's in the future though, once I've done a lot of conversion work etc.

Candle, Candle, Candleman!

Candlemen can attack by merely touching a foe and using their melt abilities. If they expect to encounter an enemy, they transform their faces to that of a trusted friend so they can get close to their target; otherwise, they rely on their stealth and agility to approach a foe unseen. When forced to, they can hurl gouts of flame by flicking their wicks at enemies.

Melting Touch: A creature struck by a candleman’s attack which deals damage must make a Difficult Resilience test or begin to melt. A melting creature takes 1D6 points of damage per round (per location) as their flesh begins to liquefy. They also begin to lose CHA at the rate of 1D3 points per round. Each round a melting creature can make a further Difficult Resilience test to stave off the effects – only magical healing can restore a creature so afflicted.
Flameflick: Using a Combat Action the candleman can hurl a gobbet of flaming wax at an enemy. This flame-ball does 2D6 points of fire damage to a targeted location. The grenade-like effect of the attack hits in 5 meter radius and any creature caught in the effect must make a successful Evade test or take 1D6 splash damage from the attack.

Storm of Fire: A fire emergent may call down a rain of fire over a 10m radius. Every target in the radius that is affected by fire is subject to 2D6 fire damage per location for 3 rounds. The fire rain damage can be halved with a successful Difficult Evade test. The emergent can use this ability POW/4 (rounded down) times per day.

20 Monsters all fully converted. Some were a lot harder than others and now I think it's on to the Fingerfetch!

Right. I have finally fully recovered from my dental surgery and I'm out of pain. So now I'm back and working on Monsters of Legend 2 as of today.

One infected tooth at the back, gone. So my bite is still very much worse than my bark!

In the meantime, have a head!

Thrown Head: A thrown head has a range of 6m, behaves like a grenade-like missile and deals 1D6 points of damage to anyone struck by it across 4 random locations. The head can attempt to establish a grapple as per the rules on page 138 of the Legend Core rulebook. If the head latches on it will continue to bite the victim for 1D4 points of damage per round until removed with a Hard Brawn test.

Hmm, seems a bit odd for a "grenade-like missile" to carry on biting after having exploded "across 4 random locations"... if it doesn't really "explode" (as I take it you mean) why does it affect 4 locations (which, being random, could be leg, leg, abdomen and head)? What is it that is affecting those four locations? I ask as heads are not that large really (well, they are head-sized, obviously).
The desire for a "definitive, ultimate answer" is, in fact, classified by modern psychiatric medicine as a mental illness.

When the head lands it releases a burst of magical energy, which is in the full description of the monster. I haven't been able to update the forum post due to intermittent internet ISP problems.
