Several creatures in Vikings of Legend have the "Recurring" Trait, but this is not described anywhere. I have looked in Vikings of Legend, Monsters of Legend and Legend itself to no avail. It is also present in MRQ1 creatures, but is again not described.
It seems that this is used for creatures that are physically present but which can be physically killed, vanish in a puff of smoke and then reform, so Nymphs, Elementals and so on.
I could always write my own version, but am interested to see what the official version of this invisible trait is.

Re: Recurring Trait
Recurring is a Spirit Trait.
When you reduce the spirit to 0 PM in spiritual combat, don't die, merely is disiped. The spirit "resurrects" after X days.
I don't remember now where was described, but I'll bet on the Legend's Spirit Magic enhacement or MRQII's spirit rules in the corebook.

Re: Recurring Trait
Thanks - that is the only reference I can find, the other references are in the Creature descriptions where they have the Recurring Trait.
Having done a search of all my PDFs, it doesn't seem to be there. Also, on an Internet search, Gregory Privat has already asked this question, so I think the trait just wasn't described.

Re: Recurring Trait
Spirit combat chapter says that:
But I haven't seen more detailed description in any of my Legend books. Some spirits can recover from being dissipated if they have the Recurring trait.
Re: Recurring Trait
What I believe happened is this.
MRQII had to be cut down substantially to fit the page count. Creatures was one of the chapters that suffered, and we also cut out several of the traits. Clearly references to the Recurring trait weren't caught and have remained in there into the 'Legend' incarnation.
Recurring is certainly described in RQ6 and, as has been mentioned, its a spirit trait.

Thanks - I'll take a look at that.Loz wrote:Recurring is certainly described in RQ6 and, as has been mentioned, its a spirit trait.
Do you have any objection to me including it in Open Game Content for a Legend supplement?

Re: Recurring Trait
It was a bit cheeky asking this on an open forum, so apologies for that.soltakss wrote:Do you have any objection to me including it in Open Game Content for a Legend supplement?

Loz has replied and was very reasonable. I will be using another trait instead of the Recurring Trait, which would suit me better as I can make it meet my exact needs.
