Potion Creation

Postby alex_greene » Mon Feb 27, 2012 10:17 pm

I've created a document, Potion Creation in Legend. I wonder if anyone would like to look over the document before I put it out on the web as a self-published document.

Still undergoing some last-minute revisions, and awaiting feedback on those, but I hope the final product will be useful to all Legend players and Games Masters.

Oh, and I'm pitching the document as Open Content. It might reference Legend Core Rulebook, Arms of Legend and Arcania of Legend: Blood Magic, but the core ideas in this document come from me - my personal interpretation of alchemy and potion creation.

I hope you can make good use of these ideas.

As far as I can tell, this thing is ready to go up online. Can anyone recommend a good site for me to upload this thing?

If the site is good enough, I'll have a load more articles to post to it.

Someone recommended a site called 4shared. Does anybody use it?

I've used it for downloading only and it's ok. If the files aren't huge Dropbox would probably be better. PM your email and I'll send you an invite.

How about posting at basicroleplaying.com
They have a downloads section and a Legend forum.
My Getting started with Legend file including a suggested starting adventure.

Signing up for Basicroleplaying.com sounds like an excellent suggestion. Thank you.

Meanwhile, I've set up my account on 4shared.

Behold. Entirely gratis and for nothing, and Open Content, my first Legend article, Potion Creation in Legend.

Enjoy. And hopefully, find use for it in your games.

I've only skimmed this so far, but this look very good, Alex - nicely presented too.

Would you like more articles for Legend from me? I've got the frameworks of a few potential future articles. Let me know what you think of my document, and feedback on whether or not you'd like to see me publish more material for you to use.

How about releasing this document also in MRQ/Legend wiki page?
http://www.mrqwiki.com/

It would be great to have more material for the game, but it is not good if it is scattered all over the intertubes.

Its very interesting Alex but you are referencing at least 2 books that I don't own. Could you rework it to use less outsourced material?
