Special Successes?

How greatly do people feel that the special success rules from BRP would alter the feel of the MRQII mechanics?

I think on everything other than combat it is fairly intuitive...

Yet the difference on combat could be much more profound? Thoughts from those of you who have done both perhaps?

It _could_ work. However, I would not recommend doing it. How the game is balanced is slightly different between the two, and you risk breaking something if you increase the chance of a success that "beats" anothter success. Especially in combat.

I agree with Rosen. The specials & crits in BRP combat are covered in Legend by Combat Maneuvers. I don't think the extra layer of complexity would add anything useful. And as you say, you can adjudicate specials for skills usage (unopposed) on a case-by-case basis.
