I just wanted to say a few words about the representatives of the Mongoose Infantry I met on Drgaonmeet on Saturday. They were a credit to the company. I played a game of Victory At Sea with Amy (I think) first. She was extremely knowledgeable about the game and especially enthusiastic about the new resin ships (which are very nice, btw). We played Battle Of the River Plate and I enjoyed it a great deal. She also made a point of directing me through to the Mongoose stand when we finished. Not in a pushy way but more like, if you've enjoyed this, there's where you can pick it up. I already have VoS but if I didn't, I would have bought it.
Next, I was hanging around the ACTA/Judge Dredd demo table. Now this I didn't actually play because there was a game going on but I watched for a while and was again struck by the enthusiasm and knowledge displayed by the gentleman running the game. I didn't catch his name, but he was also wearing an MI t-shirt. He kept the game flowing, especially as one player was obviously a bit of an expert while the other player was a novice. The MI representative pointed out options to the newer player, shared insights and tips and generally did a bang up job of selling the game. I had a chat with him when the game finished and again he was friendly, knowledgeable and nothing but positive about the game and the miniatures. All in all, these two did everything a game demonstrator should and I thought it was important to feed this back to the both of you, if you're reading this.
