Release Schedule - Opinions Needed!

Postby MongooseMatt » Fri Jun 01, 2012 5:30 pm

Okay, not finished yet, lots more to go on, but... trying something a bit new;

I am hoping you all find this new format easier to find the goodies you are after, plus find information on what stage each item is at, in terms of production.

Is this useful? Is there any other information you would like to see? (Not 'where is Product X?' We know the schedule is not yet complete :)).

I like the new format especially the status of the each title.

The main thing is to ensure that it is kept up to date.

Yep, like that. You sort of know what is at where!

Looks good, a combination of release schedule and project update ;)

Key thing would be to keep it updated where possible.

imho, this is a much better format, Matt. By game system works well.

I think this is good, but if you use the release schedule as a budgeting aid, the calendar listing was better if you buy from multiple lines.

I like it...who gave you that brilliant idea of revising it...

Agreed, it is difficult if you buy for multiple lines one solution would be have no more than 5 months listed and updated every month. With status updated, as close as they can be in real time.

Aesthetically, I would use a chart format and some sort of colour coding/signs for the street dates eg. rotating gif in two tones on a bar stating "Available Now" for right now; Green for Printing; Yellow for Editing; Blue for Editing; Purple for writing. And Red for a manuscript under consideration/being worked on.

Equally nice but I don't think that you have the programmers to do, if the chart could have a sort function. That would combine the best of both worlds.
As long as there are stars in the sky and dreams about the universe, as long as there are chronicles of high adventure to recount, there will always be Traveller.

Um. Somebody programmed that page yes so shouldn't they have somebody who does web page programming? And what you described shouldn't be too hard to do. Albeit I'm not expert on web page programming though did bit of that for one company but depending on how that page gets it data should be easy enough to get them sorted based on category. More difficult would be designing how to present it.
