I would, but it's going to be in the shop getting repaired.

Perhaps I'll dust off the jetpack.....

You need to fire up the transporter.

I have been banned by the UN from using transporter technology, the risk of an unlikely transporter accident creating two of me was deemed too high, the universe couldn't take it :)

Well if you do go outside the jurisdiction of the UN make sure you don't shake hands with yourself.

Of coures the real question si, does Mongoose Publishing headquarters even have a helipad or a landing strip?

There appears to be a roof-top patio just large enough for jetpack use.

It would appear that by some fluke of the space-time continuum, I have May 12th off.
Anyone else planning on some Star Fleet action?

Excellent ^.^
Is there any particular size of fleet we're planning on using for the day? I'll start figuring out what I need to paint first.

Well, we could just have a few knock about games - or we could start a Campaign...

A campaign would be good, but I guess that depends on how many other people are wanting to join in.
I'll start a thread in the ACTA forum to see if there's anyone there interested. I know at least some of us venture into that forum more often than this on.

Ok, dont know if this is the place to put this, but this is the short introduction to the campaign i am planning to run at club mongoose.

‘Duke’, that is how you knew him. He was never an actual duke and he held no title in the third imperium, but he was well travelled and seemed to have inexhaustible funds. He always managed to meet up with you every few years, no matter what you or he had been doing, and time with Duke was time well spent. He always hinted, sometimes just stated bluntly, that he was looking for ‘something big, real big, so big that it would make his name, make him rich (though wealth seemed never to be a problem for him), make you rich, if you wanted it, as Duke always shared his luck and wealth with his friends.

A year ago, Duke sent you a message. He had found it, the ‘something big’, and he needs your help get it. He arranged to get you to the world of Dpres in the Trojan reaches, a long journey but as Duke had made the arrangements it was always at least mid-passage on reputable liners or free traders. When you finally got to this cold world, Duke had a message waiting for you. The situation had changed, this was bigger than he first thought, he can’t be here at the time of your arrival. Other friends of his will be here, all with the same message, you will meet them at docking port 25 (you will like them, or least some of them). There will be a ship there, use it and the data on its computer to catch up with him and help him ‘reel this in’.
So you find yourself at ‘port 25, looking at a ship on the pad of a design you don’t recognise, with a number of others who also knew Duke. This is going to be one interesting ‘ride’.

(if this does not interest potential players, i am always open to suggestions about the type of game people would like me to run :) )

You are going to have at least some Traveller fanatics there. So long as you let them create their own characters, they are going to be happy :)

If there's any free Starfleet players, maybe someone can teach me the game?

What's the deal going to be regarding painted miniatures at Club Mongoose? Painted Miniatures only, or can we also get away with the bare armour look (for a short while at least)?

(With a university assignment due soon I'm not sure if I'll have the time to finish up all the ships I might need for the campaign.)

Oh, and I'm happy to spend time doing tutorial games with you if you want LBH.

No rules for painted miniatures at Club Mongoose (it is not a tournament). We would consider it polite if mostly Mongoose models were used :)
