Just spotted- are you not attending Conception (25-29 Jan) after all as it clashes with Crusade in Cardiff?

I am afraid so. However, our good friends from Cubicle 7 will be in attendance and they have offered to represent, so Mongoose goodies will be there!

Where in Cardiff is Crusade and what are the details of the event in Reading?

Also are you running any events or games at Crusade or is it just a table selling stuff you have at Crusade?

Call to Arms in Reading (The name has nothing to do with the game BTW) is run by Newbury & Reading Wargames Society, who also do Colours.

Details should be here but I can't see anything up to date http://www.colours.org.uk/

It's primarily a marketplace, with a small amount of gaming going on.

Crusade - http://www.penarthwargames.org/3.html

Call to Arms - http://www.newburyscalemodelclub.org.uk/events/

We may have some games running at Crusade, depending on how many staff we end up with on the day, and how busy it is. If it is just me but also very quiet, I'll give you a game :)

Sounds good, I shall see you at Crusade at the very least.

Do you only do conventions in UK?

There are two conventions in Sweden, (Gothcon/Gothenburg - april 6-8) and Lincon/Linkoping May 17-20) if you want to try to entice the Swedish audience to Mongoose Products. I know that Traveller was very big in Sweden in the late 80's and early 90's, and almost all conventions had scenarios for Traveller, Twillight 2000 and AD 2300, but as GDW went out of business, so did the Traveller support at our conventions.

Maybe if you pay one or both a visit, you would rekindle the interest.

We would _love_ to do a Swedish convention - however, the costs rarely justify even a European trip. Figure we have to fly one or (better) two people there, pay for at least one night in a hotel, pay for the tables at the convention - and then ship what may be half a ton of books there and back.

All that has to be paid for by sales at the convention, and that is unlikely for most.

Add to this the now annual and always sold out (sic) Judge Dredd Roleplaying Games at Q-Con in Belfast and this year will be extra special as it will be a mega-epic adventure :)

Mongoose should run their games at the United States conventions or have some sort of a GM Rewards Program to encourage people to run their games. I ran the only Traveller game at Origins or GenCon this year (the two largest gaming conventions in North America), just because I was fed up with never seeing any of Mongoose's products being run (also Paranoia rarely gets run despite the fact that it has a HUGE demand). How are people supposed to get excited about Mongoose's flagship products if they never get a chance to try them?

It looks really great and the rewards are very generous, but unfortunately I can't run three con games every six months, which is the requirement for active membership. :(
