Jerry Pournelle's CoDominium or Janissaries?

What about a game based on Jerry Pournelle's CoDominium or Janissaries books?

I think the CoDominion series would be a brilliant setting. Lots of scope for different scenarios, from a mercenary or navy point of view to all the varied planetary settings. Would make a great 'mid-tech' Traveller setting.

Both are excellent. Friends and i have talked for years about playing both. It does look like we may be going down the path of the CoDo next year using Traveller. Old Traveller hands might remember one of the LBBs had stats for Sgt. Major Calvin.

Probably a lot more written material out there about the CoDo and the later Empire of Man.

My all-time favorite sci-fi setting. Always wished Pournelle and Stirling had written a couple of more novels detailing the rise of the Spartan Hegemony.

Admittedly, Traveller 2300 might provide a lot of good material all by itself.

I'm a huge fan of Janissaries. Mercs with machine guns against Roman-era soldiers ... a great setting! :D

I understand that he was working on book 4. Wonder whatever happened to that particular project.
