Hey guys, just been trawling the internet looking at assorted companies outputs and stumbled across Zynvaded - fair enough but take a shifty at http://www.flickr.com/photos/84468342@N00/4892817571/ taken from http://wehaveissuespublishing.myfastfor ... ut201.html this thread.

Is it me or has a lot of that model taken from the old SST Marauder M8 kit?

Having assembled MANY of the SST minis, I can tell you that none of the pieces from that kit were used in this model, however, Lots of the visual aspects are the same. :)

I'll have to ask a friend of mine over there about that. :)

The cockpit does look very like the Ape marauder cockpit. The lights have a similarity to the front of the Chickenhawk.

The visual elements from the SST range were the inspiration for the figure (Especially the cockpit design elements. I really loved the game, and was a demo team member for a few years for it!). The basic look was good, but was sculpted/updated to vary it from SST enough so as to not cause problems. It was meant more as an homage to a, sadly, now gone line. The model shown has gone through an update (to add new details and fix structural/molding issues) so it doesn't look exactly like this anymore, but still retains the basic elements that I liked from my inspiration.
