Nothing to do with Legend whatsoever. I'm tired of this guy and his posts, I really am. He's on my foe list but it doesn't stop the post appearing in the topics list.
The Spam Reporting Thread

This sort of post is really starting to clog up the forum. the poster continually posts repetitions (minor variation) of ridiculous questions that the poster demands nit picking answers to and pretends to have had his account hacked multiple times

Re: The Spam Reporting Thread
It doesn't really look like he's spamming. He just posts ... on topics that don't quite fit.
He posts HP stuff on the Legend board because it won't fit on Paranoia or Traveller, but it's like he's ... well, he's been posting like this for years, which for me suggests learning diffculties rather than immaturity.
I'm going to have to chat with msprange about this. I really feel compassion for this guy, but if it's cheesing people off that he's not talking about rampant murderhobos, well ...
But a second independent complainer just reported. So I'm going to have to act.
I am sorry, but something will have to be done, then, for the forum.
Done.

Re: The Spam Reporting Thread
That's a fair point made and perhaps I've been lacking in compassion.
I don't know whether this is possible but at the moment if someone is on your Ignore list their threads still show up when you click onto New Posts. Is it possible that threads started by someone on your ignore list could be simply hidden?
That would probably also avoid the poster drawing so many snarky/exasperated comments

Re: The Spam Reporting Thread
I had exactly the same thoughts as you. But then he started blaming his little brother for using his log-in data (see Traveller threads) and posting as him. That's when I added him to my Ignore list, but all that does is take out the from the post with a "This person is on your ignore list. Click to show the message." - it still shows in the forum thread list, and as a new message (if it showed but was already marked as read it would be okay).alex_greene wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 11:15 pmIt doesn't really look like he's spamming. Does the guy need help? Maybe.
Are we best placed to give that help? Unlikely.
I'm a forum admin myself; I understand the dilemma; but when a post is totally off the topic of where it is started that is spam. The same as a weed is any plant growing where it is unwanted even if it is a lovely plant.
