Card Game: Dying Action Timing Sequence

Postby shnar » Sat Sep 13, 2008 3:08 am

An interesting situation came up today in timing:

Player A kills the Team Leader (who is a Traitor).
Team Leader's Dying Action gives Player A some Treason Tokens.

Questions:
When does Player A remove his Treason Tokens for killing a commie traitor? Before or After the dying action?

Dying Action: Troubleshooters who receive their fatal Wound token may play one card immediately as their ‘dying action’. They may also play any number of Play Anytime cards. After their dying action, they are dead (see Dying Actions and Dying on page 14 for more details).
The Dying Action rule say 'immediately', while the Killing Traitors is Better rule doesn't.

The reward from The Computer comes from being the last one to Wound the traitor before they're killed. So, the reward follows when they're dead. The Traitor's 'dying action' happens before death. So, if the Troubleshooter killed the Traitor, the Dying Action follows, and then the reward.
