I see that Matt already chimmed in on this, but let me just say that Mongoose has been great in my view. I have received every shipment as promised, and their customer service is up there with the best I have ever seen. And I'm not exaggerating either. Every time I have contacted them will a problem/concern they have been very professional, courteous, and incredibly fast in responding. I don't think you should have any reservations about ordering/shipping over seas. I haven't had problems with anything here in the US. I know they now have a warehouse here, but even before that set up I was pleased with things. At any rate, I hope that serves to assuage your concerns; I am very happy with Mongoose, and even if there is a bit of a wait or every book doesn't arrive on time - I still feel like they are doing their best to deliver quality products and can be trusted to continue to do so.

I agree absolutely with the above post. I don't live in the UK or the US, but I have not had any problems with the delivery of the Lone Wolf books.

I have also found Matt to be extremely helpful whenever I have had a query about a particular item, and am grateful that Mongoose have taken on board the project of reprinting the Lone Wolf books in these fabulous new editions.

Keep up the great work Mongoose, and thanks once again Matt for all your hard work.

Cheers.

I have waited so long for the paperbacks that I have given up on them. I went to the store where I ordered the first one 2 years ago only to discover that because it took so long my order was canceled and my deposit was non refundable. I realise that this is not mongoose's responsability but it is their fault. I only hope no one else has the same problem if they ordered like me

Why the hell is your order non-refundabe? They are the ones tha failed to provide something they said they could provide, even tough anyone could have checked and proved they couldn't.

You need to complain to their management, that's just crap!

I haven't been on here for several months and am out of the loop. Is there any new word about LW paperbacks?

No, as we have said, the softbacks won't appear until the bottom end of 2009 at the earliest. These things take time!

We can now see clear to the bottom end of 2009 -- and a mighty fine bottom it is, too! -- but still no paperbacks. Any new guesstimates will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm more of a "top of the year" kind of guy myself, but to each his own.
I've been hoping and hoping for the PB's so long. *gasp* Come on, Gooses! Get the lead out! :D

I hope "soon" means "during the following weeks" and not in another two years... I'd really like to have paperback editions, but I don't know if it's reasonable to believe they're coming out before the end of the year.

Just a curiosity: could there be a connection between this problems with paperbacks and the problems there have been with LW videogame? Are you going to wait for the videogame to be sold to publish softcover editions?

That _has_ been a factor, yes. However, ourt bigger concern is finding two distributors (one in the UK and one in the US) who are prepared to take Lone Wolf seriously, and do so at the _same_ time.

That is not an easy task.

There has been a big breakthrough on this, but don't hold your breath. If we signed the agreements today, it would be six months before the books start appearing in stores - the mainstream book market really does move that slowly. However, that said, things _are_ moving and, when we show you what we are going to be doing, it will all start to make perfect sense!

Just be a little patient. The softbacks are coming and, in the meantime, we are going to release a little Lone Wolf treat to keep you going :)

Four months after, still no news about paperback editions?
I hope there will be some explanations about what Mongoose is REALLY planing as far as softcovers are concerned during the following weeks...

We are REALLY planning to do them - but I always said it would be a slow process. . .

September 2007 - January 2010: two years and a half, more or less... I think it's taking much more than a long time! I only hope that when they finally come out, they will be error-free and many volumes will be published together...
