Movement Talents

Had an idea tonight speaking to Da Boss.

How about a Movement Talent tree. Each level you could choose any of the following. Add it to the Block War Rules.

For example :- Move through Difficult Terrain at no Move penalty. Moving through Dangerous Terrain Automatically suceed in a Agility Test when moving. Jet Pack automatically suceed in Agilty test when landing.

Or maybe have it 2 levels

level 1 + 2 to Agility Rolls for move Actions (Dangerous Terrain, Jet Packs, Surf Boards) or + 2" to Move (Difficult Terrian / Jumping).

level 2 Automatically suceed on any Move related Agility Rolls (Dangerous Terrain, Jet Pack Landing)

The palyer chooses each category seperately.

Excellent idea. Write it up, we'll look at putting it in!

But how about a seperate tree for jet packs, and another for power boards?

But couldnt you just do the talents tree as suggested generically for movement etc, but have skill branches coming of generic talents to reference batters/jetpacks/boards etc?

Some ideas, in tier order :-

Power Board -

Fly By Attack
Type: Perp
Use: Action (Melee)
The Surfer often learn how to use their speed and agility to do a move through attack. If the surfer has travelled at least 5” before he moves into contact with an enemy, then a Fly By Attack can be executed with one of the Surferss close combat weapons. This attack uses only a single Melee Dice but doubles any Damage caused with a +1 bonus to the judge’s Melee score.

Riding the Wave
Type: Perp
Use: Activate (Melee)
By using their skill the Surfer positions his board in front of him. Using his board as a shield.If a Surfer has travelled at least 5” before he moves into contact with an enemy, then a Riding the Wave can be executed The Surfer only uses one Melee Dice, but uses his board as a weapon. The board itself will have a Damage score of 2 and AP –2. In addition, the Surfer gains a +2 bonus to his Armour until the start of his next Phase.


Jet Pack

Safe Landing
Type: Perp
Use: Passive
Re-roll any failed Agility landing roll.

"Here I come to Save the Day!"
Type: Perp
Use: Move / Melee.
The user can use the Jet pack Speed as part of charge attack.


Movement

Rubble Rat
Type: Movement
Use: Move
The Hero is an expert moving through difficult terrain . When moving through difficult terrain the hero gains 1" to his movement after it is halved.

Jumping Bean
Type: Movement
Type: Move
The Hero is a good jumper. He can move across any open gap up to his Move .
