Klingons on the Starboard Bow - UK Tournament April 28th

Postby msprange » Wed Dec 14, 2011 4:25 pm

We have just posted tickets for the very first A Call to Arms: Star Fleet tournament, to be held on February 18th at Mongoose HQ in the UK.

You'll need a 1,000 point painted fleet, and this time round we will have plenty of prizes to give away - at least £200 worth and we'll increase that greatly if we get more people coming! This is a great opportunity to dive into the game and learn what tactics other people are developing, so take a Saturday out and come along - it promises to be a good 'un!

You can find all the details and the tournament pack at;

Pictures or it didn't happen! :D

I'd love to see photos of the new minis on the tabletop, so please ensure that some piccies get taken and posted here. I'm sure Jean would love some photos for ADB's facebook page as well, it's an important part of their marketing strategy.

Edit: link to tournament pack appears to be broken.

I notice that the Klingon and Federation Squadron boxes come out to around 1000 points. Makes fleet selection easy.

I figure this is as good a reason as any to come out of retirement

But £7 postage on the ticket price can't be right can it? :shock:

Does anybody have a list of nearby hotels or even a recommended venue as I'm very tempted to come doen for this event. Never got the opportunity for any of the previous trouneys but this one......

I am hip deep in things at the moment (!), but remind me in the New Year and I'll get together a list of decently priced and clean hotels in Swindon.

And please come down - these events are always a lot of fun and I have a feeling this tournament will be one to remember :)

Cheers DB :D I fear we'll no longer be allies seeing as you chose the cornishpasty-heads, I'll likely be going as Romulans :wink:

Matt, hate to bother you as you're busy but I'm still getting the £7 p&p on the ticket

Anyone else getting that? :?

I certainly will do. Been looking at rail and coach prices today. Definite possibility.
