Got a glimpse of Project N today

Postby lastbesthope » Sat Oct 30, 2010 9:32 pm

I can tell you that I myself am not overly familiar with the setting it's based on, but that alone doesn't rule much out :)

Looking forward to seeing more about it when the info is released, but what I saw piqued my interest.

Are you posting this to be a big old tease?

Lording it over the rest of us with your knowledge of things which we don't know anything about yet.

We'll all find out what it is tomorrow anyway.

Let LBH have his day in the sun.

Actually I could have had a week in the sun, I figured out the licence last week after catching a glimpse of something I shouldn't have really at the Corp Day last weekend.

I'm curious as to what the setting is, but if it is a TV based one LBH isn't overly familiar with it could be anything not particularly mainstream. I'm struggling to think of anything that isn't anime.

Oh man, spill the beans already! :) Still no news on the website (which I could not connect to today in the morning - weird)...

Hm... an anime? or a book? is at least N the beginning letter of the name of the fictional universe it plays in?

Anime: first thing comes to my mind is Nadesico. (Though I am not really familiar with it. A short search through the net reveals though about 5 different factions, so this could actually work.)

Book: hm... dunno... cannot think of any special sagas... :(

Oh? Is the cone of silence over the playtesters getting lifted tomorrow?

N is connected to the starship combat of the universe.

The fictional universe begins with another letter (two actually).

The only universe I can think of that begins with 2 letters, is Æon Flux. If Æ counts as 2 letters??

Hmm............ now if the second word was "Five"....................No it couldn't be.

Hawaii Five-O? That would be a great wargame. I don't think surf boards had shields in the show, though.

Agreed, but the glare off the hair gel would swamp any ships sensors, so could work well for stealth.

That wasn't quite what I meant. I meant it in the in the same way as Star Wars would be S & W.

Okay here is some wishful logic.

If the new ACTA's system was supposed to be previewed today, but the preview is not getting released until later on... give us the exciting news of what the Title will be at least. :D

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this works.

Does part of the IP's name happen to be a property of matter?
