So when is ACTA going OGL?

Well there was going to be a non-licenced game 'Emergence', but the end of the minis put paid to that. Even if ACTA were to become OGL, I imagine B5 would be very, very off limits.

Oh I don't want it for B5.

The ACTA system would be fantastic for the Open Gaming Licence.

The rules stay off-limits as with BEvo but the weapon/ship traits, advanced rules and fleet lists become OGL.

I would just love to be able to fiddle around with the rules to create some of my own unique games that are license free.

I'm talking about ACTA as a rules system, not as B5 or anything so tied to a specific Mongoose property.

If not, I'm working on a game system where the whole point will be that it's the core system only, and people can apply whichever setting they want to it.

Hi guys,

I am afraid CTA will not go OGL. That said, so long as you don't go commercial, we will never be busting down your door if you develop mods or other settings for it!
