The demo games of both supplements seemed to go well and I will have to pick up Z before too long

Just got my copy today and been reading through it. It is good and oh boy I want to get my modern russian stuff painted!
Unfortunately, I bought my Russian stuff a few years ago and it's all BMP-2's and T-80's. So, I'm going to have to put together a Category 2 army list for the Russian Mechanised force.
American's get a choice of M113's, Brits can have Saxons and Scimitars, Germans can have Luchs and Marders, but the Russians can only have BMP-3's or BTR-T's? I think I'd like to expand their choices a little more, please!

well got mine today...
think what they should have done was list all the vehicles and such in one section then have an army list section just listing what you can take..
no bulldogs in britforce
no panthers and no mastifs (ridgback) or whatever we call our version... wich is a shame as ive found a evo scale version avaialable !!!!!
and why no vikings !!!!!!
but the scimiter made it in yay.... a did the landy....
PLA now get an armour save... !!!!! personaly would of prefered less points .. ho hum...
love some of the MEA stuff but badly mixed runs a risk of a
and why didnt USMC get m113's ?????? and again why no mastifs / cougers ????
all that said il probably nick bits from other lists to fill holes, and use saxon stats for a mastiff... and maybe landy stats for the jackal !!!!
all that said over all a nice book with rules well laid out... army lists still have the same ugly layout that put us of playing the WAW version
i think what we need is a book of just vehicles and stuff, with nationalites listed against them for who uses what... then do the same fro troops with generic trops for ay 3rd world contires or revolutionaries... then we would have it all
PLEASE NOTE: this is a guy reacion,, i do need to give it a full read to be honest, and i feel i just maybe exspected to much reaserch to have gone into it as regards future equipment now being employed..... after all the some of the stuff in UK list is being phased out....

Just because a toy company says their toy Vietnam era M113 has USMC markings does NOT mean that the USMC ever used them in Vietnam or elsewhereMr Evil wrote:think this company may disagree with like a 3 second net serchdsfrankevo wrote:UM - because - They've never had them and won't be getting them in the futureMr Evil wrote:and why didnt USMC get m113's ??????

& before you go off on another Google search - there is one pic of Australian 113s coming off a ship - mislabled as USMC - most of the sites posting this pic attribute it correctly as Austrailian tracks
Man I hope this doesn't turn into another 'Warriors w/TOWs' debachle

There are plenty of armored transports for the USMC in the book like the AAV and LAV to satisfy even a river rat like myself!
The M113 belongs to the army and I rode in more of a few in my time in the Army however I would pass on this transport for a Stryker or Bradley anyday of the week in real life or in a skirmish game where my options are limited.
