Apocalypse-Z , Evo ZOMBIES!

Hey all,

Looks like my initial post was lost in the Great Crash of '08 so I'll once again shamelessly self-promote...

Exploding Goat Games is about to release Apocalypse-Z (the Z is for ZOMBIES!!!) as a supplement for Battlefield Evolution.

We've tried to includea ton of the cliches' from the zombie genre but still keep it a sound, fun, challenging, playable game... Its being released as a supplement for Battlefield Evolution so it shoud be ready once the OGL is released.

If anyone is interested in playtesting the rules, give me an email at jayhyland@explodinggoatgame.com. and I'll get a copy out to you.

Its going to be a printed book as well as being on Wargaming Online. We expect it out at the end of July

Hey all!

Bump!

We're wrapping up the playtesting on Apocalypse-Z and the editing is in full swing! We should be ready to go as soon as the Battlefield Evolution OGL is released! This game has a huge Resident Evil feel to it and should satisfy any zombie lover's craving!

Jay, Not sure if you were the creator of a Horror mod I saw posted months ago for Evo, but some portions of those were used and modified again for the following game:

I wasn't the author of that particular post, but dang!!!! That certainly looks a lot like Apocalypse-Z being played there! It looks to me like you did exactly what we did; buy a lot of Clix figures from HorrorClix and HeroCllix and put them on bases! I like all of the police cars as well...

we have several of those as well as some ambulances, humvees, etc...

Well... the hard work paid off! We here at Exploding Goat Games got accepted as a Flaming Cobra imprint company and Apocalypse-Z is now officially an Evo supplement. Its due out in November 2008 and you can preorder it on this very site in just a little bit.

We'll be at Historicon in Lancaster, PA starting today!!!! There's even a few pre-release copies for sale at the Mongoose booth in the vendor hall!

For those Evo fans who share a love for shambling, hungry hordes of braiiinless zombies, Apocalypse-Z is ready for pre-order from Mongoose. If you follow the Flaming Cobra link from the main page, you'll see "Z" under the November releases.

This is getting scary Rabidchild: I was thinking the same!

Is Flaming Cobra outside the Logo License? Is Apocalypse Z a genuine Mongoose product?
I have to admit that I still do not grasp the OGL/ Logo License concept...

Because Flaming Cobra products are officially "Mongoose Products" once they are accepted into the imprint program, there is no need to reproduce the open license in the books. It's largely submitting ideas and drafts to Matt and then....LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of work and revisions.
