Is it the complete end of SST

Does this mean that Mongoose has decided to drop the entire line and will cease publishing books for SST/EVO?

Moreover - how long will this forum keep running? Will MGP vape it sooner or later, or keep it going for the community?

The second question I can answer immediatly. . .

We will be looking to join this forum with BF Evo, as they will be using common rules sets, and SST will effectively be a subset of the BF Evo system. So, if there are any posts you want to grab, now will be the time!

So by that thought will you be combining the ACTA and VaS forums?

Sorry, no, didn't make myself clear.

SST will be moving to the Evo group, with World at War and Modern Combat - CTA won't be moving for the foreseeable future.

Thank the maker that the CTA forums won't move!!!

I see little sense in that.
Sure, they are the same ruleset, but to put all of them into the same forum section will just make things really hard to find and discuss as they will be all mixed together.

Or am I not getting you? :?

I agree... why can't it just stay where it is?

And on top of that I will feel even more cheated if the forum is moved in with a rule set we haven't and may never see...

It won't happen until the first BF Evo rulebook (World at War) is out and about - I just wanted to give prior warning in case anybody wanted to grab any posts!

So basically, you are not only combining games into one forum, but you are deleting all the old forum posts. Not even putting them into their new home.

What we are doing is giving a warning that it is going to happen. . .

Would there be the possibility of having an "evo family" set of subforums for each specific game? Or creating a brand new forum and then moving the contents of the extant Battlefield evo and SST forums into it?

Why delete my post, Matt? I'm asking, I think we should know whether or not you are going to be deleting all the posts that are in the SST forum. You are not being clear about this.
Why would you have a problem with that?

Because they are a bit sensitive about the negativity right now. I understand one of my posts got deleted... and it was not insulting but it was off the cuff.

So merely calming down will hopefully allow your posts to go undeleted.

It's pretty obvious from what Matt's said that this forum will be deleted. Hence he told you to grab any old posts now, while you have the chance. So its pointless to ask again and again, thats why it got deleted, you were just asking the same thing over and over that has already been answered.

I apologise if there was any lack of clarity. Yes, the original posts will go (hence the advice to grab what you needed).

As for sub-forums, they are certainly a possibility, and will depend on the amount of traffic each game gets. At the moment, there is not enough to warrant a separate SST area of BF Evo.

Thank you. It is good to know.
