i didn't know they still sold them seperatly. i'm sure the last time i was in a GW they told me that they didn't carry them anymore! gits!
i'll get the longer stands. i put a brass rod pin in the top anyway so i can cut them down to size for the bigger ships if i need to.
thanks!

Oh, I have been paying attention, but I did not notice that the bases are now sold seperately. I *am* aware of their price hikes but 1,5£ for a simple plastic base, now THATS ridiculousdjshire wrote:I see you havent been paying attention to GW recently....they keep hiking up their pricesShallowain wrote:They do WHAT? I am a long time fan of the 40k universe and I like WFB as well. I also have a somewhat bigger collection of specialist games, but since their decision to ban the Damnatus movie I hold a strong grudge against them. But when I see that they truly think they can take *that* much for one single base...
I dropped about 500+€ on stuff from them every year, but with their recent decisions I simply can't see myself byuing much more from them. It's a shame that mongoose decided to go the prepaints way with starship troopers. I considered starting, but theres no way with prepaints. and I am not a fan of the evo ruleset either.

I've had the same problem down here in NZ. Just this last week I tried to get gw bases from the store, only to be told that they were no longer stocked. And I also hopped onto the UK site and was horrified by the prospect of 75p a base and 75p a stem.
Thats about $4.50 in NZ dollars!
!

!
But if you look in the Australian online shop they still have the bags. I'm not sure how the cost of getting them sent to the UK would be. But it's got to be better than one fifty a stand.
