Has anyone here actually built there minis using parts from Mongoose? I was thinking of doing something for a Jumphawk (Command ship) inmy Drazi fleet. The idea so far is buy a normal Sunhawk model, and add an extra underside fin to the top of the Sunhawk, so it ends up with four engine pods in + configration. I had thought about adding some EA rail guns to the wings, if I had any spare, just because it has more AD on it's weapons then a normal Sunhawk.
The second idea I came up with was to add only the rail guns to a Sunhawk and have it as Darkhawk, the Drazi poor missile boat.
What do people think of my ideas. I will put some pics up if I decide to do them.

I do it all the time - did it back in the days of AoG, and never stopped. But then, actually I started long before that... when I was still playing Battletech, and tinkering with those minis... and in just about every miniature game I played since.Has anyone here actually built there minis using parts from Mongoose?
From my Centauri Optine Cruiser (Primus hull slimmed by cutting out the center and with FA Octurion wings) to my Earthforce-One (with some non-mongoose parts I am afraid), from my Raider scratch-built "Frankenstein" Battleship (Narn T'Loth "wing" with Saggie engines and Oracle forehull) to my Dilgar Senschuka Frigates (from FA Abrithi minis), from my Shadow Command Ship (two ShadowShips tinkered together in "urchin" configuration), from my Centauri yacht (non-B5 parts with FA Sulust engines) to my Drazi EyeHawk (simply a radar dish in the nose), from my Dilgar Rishekar (FA Leskrati conversion) to my Centauri Jenas (Kutai fore hulls with FA Vorchan wings), from my Nemesis (Marathon engines and Hunter spines) to my Civilian Ore Barge (Battlewagon hull with Strike Carrier front)...
And these are only the major things - many of my "common" miniatures have slight conversions, like my Artemii Frigates where you can tell the armamant by looking closely, or Dilgar Protra (Rohric) with visible weapons like all other Dilgar, or my Nova with Warlock gun turrets (looks much better then the oversized Nova turrets) or a weaponless Eskravat refuelking barge from an Athraskala (Wahant) hull...
