Actually you are just watching the 2nd half of the 1st season, they only commisioned 11 episodes originaly then extended it to a full 22(?) when it went well. They also provisionaly signed up to a 2nd series which the script writers took into account when writting the 2nd half of the season.Meliadus wrote:Have just started watching it got the last 3 episodes of the first series and am watching the second series now, must say am enjoying it.

Then just after it had finished showing CBS decided to drop the show..... due to the high level of support shown to the show after it was canceled it is hoped that CBS will either commission a 2nd series, or pass the show over to a different network to make a 2nd series or failing that it is hoped that they might commission a TV movie or 2 to bring the show to a conclusion. We fans have our fingers crossed.....
Either way this show is good and worth watching.

It looks all but official, check out the announcement from CBS Entertainment:

I especially like the plea to stop sending nuts. Last I heard over 18000 pounds have been sent to CBS to prove they were "nuts" for canceling the show.
I've also heard that CBS then gave a large portion of the nuts to a group that sent them to the troops in Iraq.

The show had very good ratings until they decided to take a 3 month holiday in the middle of the series..... doing things like that is always going to loose them viewers, I don't get CBS (being in the UK) and I don't know how well they advertised the return, but that may also have been a factor, with something that was as story driven as this missing an episode or 2 will make fans not watch the rest of the series and wait for the re-run or the box set. Or it will get them downloading the episodes from torrent sites and watching them at their convience and without add breaks....Hiromoon wrote:Dispite the over-abundance of monies amongst current viewers, if you don't get more viewers and better ratings, all the nuts in the world won't help you. But, for there to be more “Jericho,” we will need more viewers.
