When is the US going to see BF EVO in the gamestores?

Postby rvrratt » Tue Feb 13, 2007 2:44 pm

I have yet to see a definite date when my LGS will see BF EVO. Alliance is there main distributor, could someone from Mongoose give us a street date? I am also going to Megacon this weekend and hoping to see them there as well.

Can us yankees get some love?

Apparently? I appreciate the quick response, but I was asking for a date. Are you saying by the 23rd?

Thank you! :D

Word is that some stores will see it on the 17th, but otherwise it'll show up in or around the week of the 19th.

No set date can be given since right now it's all up to distributors and shipping times.

US distributors will be receiving their orders from tomorrow. The earliest that retailers can sell it is Saturday 17th. Check with your store to see if they'll have it by then.

You'll be lucky to get stuff into stores by the 17th. Here if it gets released on a Monday, it'll be in stores Wednesday. The distributors are going to get it tomarrow? We'll be lucky to see it in stores by Monday (19th, and that's a Federal Holiday here in the US).

It depends entirely on your store's policy of receiving product and how far away they are from their distributor. If they are a 1 or 2 day ship from the distributor they _will_ have it for Saturday, if they want it....

To put it another way, the majority of stores who want to catch the weekend crowd will be getting it on Saturday. If your store is less concerned about releasing it early, you may have to wait until next week.

I'm aware of the weather

You're best bet is still to talk to your local store. If you assume that they won't get the product in and they do and sell out, you'll be kicking yourself...

Given I'm the last MI in the state here, Alex, I practically live out of my store. I'm pretty well versed in shipping scheduals for them too. If something gets sent out on a monday from the distributor, it'll be on shelves (at Gameparlor) on a Wednesday or (at Eagle and Empire) on a Thursday (mostly because they had to make space...now I think it's a Wednesday shelf date too)....

But what's against me is Virginia's inability to drive in the snow.

Your store may well have trouble getting it for Saturday. They are a few days-ship from the distributors and the shipments are due to start going out from Wednesday.

However, the thread asked when the US could expect to see the game in stores. For those who are only 1 or 2 days away from distributors and can get orders on Saturdays if they need to, the answer is Saturday 17th. This is why people should ask their store. In your case, you may unfortunately be out of luck, but many other stores will get the product in and people will be playing the game while the rest of us shovel snow out of the driveway.

An inch of snow, and the whole country grinds to a halt here - trains, postal system, schools. . .

Whereas in Scotland we used to laugh at the overhyped news reports of England floundering in the snow.
