Of particular interest to ACTASF players are the Federation battleship, frigate, and police cutter; Klingon E5 and small freighter (works just like any small freighter, but has a Klingon visual "look"); and Kzinti heavy battlecruiser and light cruiser.

On August 1, 2018, ADB released over 100 new items to its shop on Shapeways, bringing the total items in its shop to over 1,000. This "mad month" let us create more ships for all the empires, including new combs of drones.

The Federation gains its Burke-Class Frigate and mighty Mars-Class Battleship in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions. They add the Police Cutter in both the Masterson and Callaghan styles. They also get their F-111 Heavy Drone Fighter and F-12 Fast Fighter (including ones in the new 285 Scale).

The Klingons get their E5 Battle Corvette, a small freighter, and an auxiliary carrier. They also get their Z-KB Fast Heavy Fighter, including one in the 285 Scale.

The Romulans get their SparrowHawk-F and SparrowHawk-F+ Mauler Cruiser, and Heavy Condor. They also gain their KDR War Cruiser in both smooth and regular versions with belly bird, Romulan insignia, and scallops on the wings.

The Tholians get a huge increase to their fleet with the addition of their Stellar Domination Ship, Pocket Battleship, War Gunboat Tender, Space Control Ship, Heavy War Destroyer, Scout Carrier, Neo-Tholian Frigate, Neo-Tholian Destroyer, Neo-Tholian Dreadnought, Police War Destroyer, Spider-I Fighter, Spider-IVS Heavy Assault Fighter, and Spider-VS Fast Heavy Fighter. All fighters include a version in the new 285 Scale.

The Gorns get their Destroyer-Battlecruiser, Troodon Destroyer-Cruiser, Double-Wing Destroyer, and Brontosaurus Tug (one-pod and two-pod versions). Each of those comes in the regular and refitted versions.

The Kzintis get their Light Cruiser, Heavy Battlecruiser, Tug with two pods, and Medium Scout Cruiser.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get the Alleycat-E War Destroyer Escort, JagdPanther Multi-Role Light Cruiser, and Running Tiger Fast Cruiser.

The Hydrans get a good number of new ships with the addition of their Gendarme Police Frigate, Trooper New Light Carrier, Cossack Medium Carrier, Scythian Escort Carrier, Cavalier Interdiction Carrier, Antelope Hunter War Destroyer Escort, New Escort Cruiser, Mohawk-V Medium Carrier, and Cheyenne New Heavy Cruiser.

The Seltorians get their massive Heavy Battlecruiser.

Many empires can use the four drones that are released this month: Type-I Anti-Ship, Type-III Multi-Warhead, Type-IV Heavy Anti-Ship, and Type-VI Dogfight drones.

Empires from the Omega Octant continue to have new additions. The Iridani get their Caravel-B; the Vari get their Heavy Frigate; the Souldra get their Destroyer. The Ymatrians are introduced with their Heavy Cruiser and Destroyer.

We are also releasing three new Space Dragons. You can now adopt the Baby Female, Baby Male, and Old Female space dragons.

ADB Releases New Ships for October!

Of particular interest to you would be the Federation War Destroyer, Kzinti heavy and jumbo freighters (just like the existing heavy and jumbo freighters, but empire-specific visually), and Orion Salvage Cruiser and Heavy Cruiser.

On October 1, 2018, ADB released 59 new items to its shop on Shapeways, bringing the total items in its shop to over 1,100. One of the highlights is the introduction of a new force: the Inter-Stellar Concordium. They have three of their most popular ships to start an echelon.

The Federation gains its War Destroyer in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions.

The Klingons get their G2 Police Cutter and E3 Escort.

The Romulans get their Fast SparrowHawk and Fast SparrowHawk+ Light Cruiser as well as their Screech Owl Heavy Scout.

The Tholians gain the mighty Neo-Tholian Battleship and Light Tactical Transport. We also added a 3125 Scale Cargo Patrol Corvette with a pod to match the existing 3788 Scale one.

The Gorns get their Battle Destroyer Scout, in the regular and refitted versions. They also gain the G-7 Shenyang Fighter in the new 285 Scale.

The Kzintis get their Heavy War Destroyer. They also get their Large Fast Attack Shuttle Killer and their Heavy Bomber in both Omni and 285 scales. In addition, they gain empire-specific jumbo and heavy freighters.

The Orion Pirates add three more ships in our shop. Joining their fleet are the Double Raider, Salvage Cruiser, and Heavy Cruiser.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get the Mountain Lion which is a powerful destroyer made from the center section of a dreadnought.

The Hydrans get their Caravan Tug with cargo pallets and their Caravan Battle Tug.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium can start enforcing peace among the empires with three of their ships: the Destroyer, Light Cruiser, and Star Cruiser which is their heavy cruiser.

Many empires can wreak havoc with the 285 Scale Scatter-Pack Shuttle that is released this month.

Empires from the Omega Octant continue to have new additions. The Worb are introduced with their Heavy Cruiser and Heavy Destroyer.

We have released two more space dragons that are to be feared by any wise ship captain. These are the Ancient Male and Ancient Female space dragons who could easily overwhelm any ship short of a battleship.

ADB Releases Ships for November!

On October 20 and again on November 1, 2018, ADB released a total of 85 new items to its shop on Shapeways, bringing the total items in its shop to over 1,200. Please note that any ships released after October 21 are subject to the increased production prices Shapeways imposed on designers and shops. Sadly we must pass the increases on to our customers. Those items that are subject to the increased prices are marked with an asterisk. We strongly encourage people to buy any older ships they want before 2019 when the old prices that were grandfathered in will expire and prices will go up dramatically.

The Federation gains its Heavy Drone Cruiser, Heavy War Destroyer*, Scout Frigate, and War Destroyer Scout* in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions. It also gets its A-10 "Warthog" Fighter in the new 285 Scale.

The Klingons get their E4S Scout and F6S Battle Frigate Scout. To better match the original metal Starline 2500 miniatures with their molded-in windows, they have the 3125 Scale F6SB Battle Frigate Scout. The F6SK Battle Frigate Scout has the Aztecked designs on the wings.

The Romulans get their SeaHawk-A Frigate* and Snipe-B Battle Frigate.

The Tholians gain the Combat Tug and Heavy Command Cruiser*, along with the Neo-Tholian Survey Cruiser.

The Gorns get their Heavy Destroyer Scout in the regular and refitted versions. They also gain the G-10 "Dragon" Fighter in the new 285 Scale.

The Kzintis get their New Heavy Scout Cruiser and Escort Frigate*.

The Orion Pirates add their War Destroyer and Heavy War Destroyer.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get the Top-Alleycat Heavy War Destroyer, Abyssinian Police Flagship, War Destroyer Scout, and Lioness Heavy Cruiser*.

The Hydrans get their Baron Light Command Cruiser and Heavy Gendarme Police Destroyer.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium adds its powerful Dreadnought.

The WYN have salvaged a Kzinti-built War Destroyer* and their Pocket Battlecruiser.

The Seltorians add their Scout.

Empires from the Omega Octant continue to have new additions. The Bolosco add their Guild Cruiser; the Hivers, their Battlecruiser and a sprue of Barb-2 and Barb-H fighters; the Singers, their Frigate; and the Worb, their Scout.

We have released another space dragon that is to be feared by any wise ship captain. The Young Female Space Dragon* could easily handle a light cruiser in battle.

Of particular interest to you would be the Federation New Heavy Cruiser and the Klingon D5W. Also we are starting to release empire-specific base stations. These work the same way as the base station stats you have, but are easily recognizable as being from a specific empire.

Please note that the Cyber Monday sale on Shapeways has been extended through Tuesday (3 am Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday).

ADB Releases Ships for Cyber Monday!

On November 25, 2018, ADB released a total of 63 new items to its shop on Shapeways, just in time for the one-day Cyber Monday sale on Shapeways. This month sees the introduction of ships for the Vudar and Zosman Marauders. It also sees the introduction of the first empire-specific base stations.

We are strongly encouraging people to buy any older ships they want before 2019 when the old prices that were grandfathered in will expire and prices will go up dramatically.

The Federation gains its New Heavy Cruiser in both the "regular" and "Fed Classic" (smooth body) versions. It also gets its base station.

The Klingons get their D5W New Heavy Cruiser. The D5WK Refitted New Heavy Cruiser has the Aztecked designs on the wings.

The Romulans get their JayHawk Battle Frigate, GryphonHawk Heavy War Cruiser, and GryphonHawk+ Heavy War Cruiser. The "+" indicates it is a late-war design in the style of the Starline 2500 Romulan ships.

The Tholians gain the Neo-Tholian Heavy Frigate.

The Gorns get their Carnosaurus-S Scout and Carnosaurus-P Gunboat/PF Tender in the regular and refitted versions. They also gain their base station.

The Kzintis get their Killer Escort Frigate (FKE) and Light Dreadnought. They also get an empire-specific base station.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get the Firecat Battle Control Ship and Siberian Lion Space Control Ship. They also get base stations. (Please note that the LDR base station is identical to the Lyran one.)

The Hydrans get their Pegasus Gunboat/PF Tender and Horsemaster Gunboat/PF Tender.

The Inter-Stellar Concordium adds its Frigate and its base station.

The Vudar splash in with their War Destroyer and War Cruiser.

The Frax gain their War Cruiser Carrier. That means they also got their Demon-3 Strike Fighter in both Omni Scale and 285 Scale.

Empires from the Omega Octant continue to be introduced. The pirates of the Omega Octant are the Zosman Marauders and they come in heavy with their Frigate, Destroyer, Light Cruiser, and Heavy Cruiser.

We're working on getting the "missing" ships for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, Book 2 up. In the meantime, you should know that most of them are there.

You'll be looking for 3125 Scale which is compatible with Starline 2500.

Omni Scale is used for bases and freighters.

We promised you that we would work on releasing the miniatures you need for A Call to Arms: StarFleet Book 2. Last month we released the Federation Corvette, Klingon SparrowHawk Light Cruiser (RKL), 2-inch Web Panels for the Tholians, Epanterias-K Strike Cruiser and Tyrannosaurus-H Heavy Dreadnought (Spinosaurus), and Orion Dreadnought, while the Kzintis get their Fast Battlecruiser, Heavy Dreadnought, New Command Cruiser, and Police Cutter. This month we added the Gorn Alectrosaurus Light Dreadnought. Here's the rest of the ships we released.

ADB Releases Ships for November, 2019

On October 31, 2019, ADB released a total of 41 new items to its shop on Shapeways. That brings our shop to over 1,800 items. There are some styles of ships designed to work within the price increase that Shapeways imposed. Notably we added the 7000 Scale that is similar to the older Elite Scale (1/7000). These currently are being released in two different collections. The Core Collection for each empire has one each of the six most common ships of that empire. The Builder Collections have six ships (multiple copies of some) that would create a common fleet when combined with the Core Collection. We also added another ship in the new, larger scale that we named the 2500 Scale (Prestige Scale) which is 1/2500. These larger ships are perfect for one-on-one tabletop duels. They can always be used as a display model when not being used for battles.

The Federation gets its 2500 Scale Heavy Cruiser (CAR), and the 7000 Scale Core Collection (dreadnought, battlecruiser, heavy cruiser, new light cruiser, war destroyer, and frigate), and Builder Collection (three frigates, two war destroyers, and a new light cruiser).

The Klingons gain their 7000 Scale Builder Collection (one D5 war cruiser, two F5W war destroyers, and three of the ubiquitous F5 frigates). The Core Collection is scheduled for release in December 2019.

The Romulans get their original Condor Dreadnought. Because of the way their fleet is designed, they have multiple releases in the 7000 Scale. They have their Eagle Core Collection (Vulture, King Eagle, War Eagle, Falcon Mauler, BattleHawk, and Snipe) and Eagle Builder Collection (two each of War Eagle, BattleHawk, and Snipe), Hawk Core Collection (Condor, FireHawk, RoyalHawk, SparrowHawk, SkyHawk, and SeaHawk) and Hawk Builder Collection (a SeaHawk, two SkyHawks, two SparrowHawks, and a FireHawk), and Hawk Refit Core Collection (Condor, FireHawk, RoyalHawk, SparrowHawk, SkyHawk, and SeaHawk) and Hawk Refit Builder Collection (a SeaHawk, two SkyHawks, two SparrowHawks, and a FireHawk). The "Refit" indicates it is a late-war "Cranked Arrow" design in the style of the Starline 2500 Romulan ships which these are based on.

The Tholians gain multiple releases in the 7000 Scale. They have their Tholian Core Collection (dreadnought, heavy cruiser, war cruiser, destroyer, patrol corvette, police cutter), and Builder Collection (one war cruiser, two destroyers, two patrol corvettes, and a police cutter) as well as the Neo-Tholian Core Collection (dreadnought, heavy cruiser, light cruiser, destroyer, and two frigates) and Builder Collection (two each of the light cruiser, destroyer, and frigate).

The Seltorians get their Core Collection (dreadnought, battlecruiser, heavy cruiser, light cruiser, destroyer, and frigate) and Builder Collection (heavy cruiser, light cruiser, two destroyers, and two frigates) in the 7000 Scale.

The Gorns gain their Alectrosaurus Light Dreadnought (in the new ACTASF book) and Heavy Medium Cruiser in both the regular and refitted versions. They also get their battle station in both the regular and augmented forms.

The Kzintis get their Core Collection (dreadnought, heavy battlecruiser, battlecruiser, light cruiser, destroyer, and frigate) and Builder Collection (a new heavy cruiser, two medium cruisers, two war destroyers, and a frigate) in the new 7000 Scale.

The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their Jaguar-H Heavy War Cruiser (the 3125 Scale also has a kit version of this). The Lyrans also gain their Core Collection (dreadnought, battlecruiser, heavy cruiser, light cruiser, destroyer, and frigate) and Builder Collection (war cruiser, two war destroyers, destroyer, and two frigates). (The LDR could also use these ships.)

The WYNs gain a sprue of two of their Barracuda Frigates. They also get their Auxiliary Ship Collection in the 7000 Scale.

Of particular note are the battle stations for the Romulans and Orions, the armed freighters, and the Q-ships. There are also the North Polar ships that go with the free epack we just released. Finally, there are covers for the bases of the 7000 Scale ships that should make playing ACTASF with the 7000s a snap!

ADB Releases Ships for December, 2019

On December 1, 2019, ADB released a total of 88 new items to its shop on Shapeways. That brings our shop to over 1,900 items. There are some styles of ships designed to work within the price increase that Shapeways imposed. We also added more ships in the new, larger scale that we named the 2500 Scale (Prestige Scale) which is 1/2500. These larger ships are perfect for one-on-one tabletop duels. They can always be used as a display model when not being used for battles. Notably we added the North Polar Fleet that matches the ship cards in our free Federation Commander North Polar epack and the ship rosters for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet (again, this is a free epack).

The Klingons gain their 7000 Scale Core Collection (C8 dreadnought, C7 heavy battlecruiser, D7 battlecruiser, D5 war cruiser, F5W destroyer, F5 frigate). They also get their 2500 Scale D7K Refitted Battlecruiser. In the 3788 and 3125 scales, they get their D6P Gunboat/PF Tender.

The Romulans get their Augmented Base Station, Battle Station, and Augmented Battle Station.

The Tholians gain their Heavy War Destroyer (PF Tender). This is a heavy war destroyer set up to carry gunboats. They also get the 7000 Scale Neo-Tholian Fleet 312th Builder Collection. This collection is designed to combine with the Builder and Core collections to provide a complete version of the 312th Battle Squadron.

The Kzintis have their Heavy Carrier, Space Control Ship, and Super Space Control Ship.

The Orions make out like bandits with their Battle Station, Augmented Battle Station, Light Raider Scout, Patrol Carrier, and War Destroyer Scout. They also get a sprue of two Battle Raiders and another sprue with two Light Cruisers.

The Lyrans get an iconic 2500 Scale Tiger Heavy Cruiser.

The Hydrans get sprues of their destroyers in an effort to cut costs to the buyer. There is a sprue of two Knight Destroyers, another of two Lancer Destroyers, and a final sprue with one each of the Knight and Lancer.

The ISC gains its 7000 Scale Fleet Core Collection (Dreadnought, Star Cruiser, Light Cruiser, Destroyer, and two Frigates) and its Fleet Builder Collection (two each of its Light Cruisers, Destroyers, and Frigates).

The Jindarians get another of their metal ships, the Frigate either singly or on a sprue of two.

The Vudar get their 7000 Scale Fleet Core Collection (Dreadnought, Heavy Battlecruiser, Heavy Cruiser, War Cruiser, War Destroyer, and War Frigate) and their Fleet Builder Collection (two War Cruisers, two War Destroyers, and two War Frigates). They also get their Heavy Battlecruiser and Heavy Cruiser in both 3788 and 3125 scales.

The WYN get their Auxiliary Cruiser built on a Kzinti hull, Orca-V Light Carrier, and Grey Shark Dreadnought. The dreadnought is also available as a kit that needs some assembly.

More types of general ships were also released. Armed freighters were released for small, large, jumbo and heavy armed freighters. Large and small Q-ships were also released. These are shown in two styles: Revealed when the panels have just pulled back and Deployed when the weapons have been moved into place.

The big release was for the North Polar Fleet. These have been described in ship cards for Federation Commander each Christmas since 2013, although the Sleigh appeared in 2006. They have been released in stats for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet. Plans are to release them for Star Fleet Battles as SSDs and we hope to see them soon as ship cards for Starmada. The ships, released in both 3788 and 3125 scales except as noted, include the Battle Station (Omni Scale only), Candy Cane Light Cruiser, Candy Sprite Destroyer, Candy Stick Missile DD, Candy Stripe Scout, Commando Cruiser, Gingerbread Attack Cruiser, Sleigh Medium Cruiser (3125, 3788, and 7000 scales), Snow Command Cruiser, Star Strike Cruiser, and Tree Heavy Cruiser.

Finally, given the popularity of the 7000 Scale ships and requests from players, we have released covers for the bases of these miniatures. One of the sizes expands the half-inch, hex-shaped bases to one-inch, hex-shaped bases, and this is available with either 18 or 24 covers. The other is designed for A Call to Arms: Star Fleet players and turns the half-inch, hex-shaped bases to two-centimeter, round bases. This facilitates using the 7000 Scale miniatures by changing the inch measurements to centimeter; one inch equals one centimeter.
