Dag nabbit! I posted my Recon check before leaving work Friday and didn't get back on-line till now. And what do I find? Jocularity marred by violence and the CO blasting a sniper team from the cupola of her tank!

20/20 hind sight kicking in: we needed eyes in the sky to cover our very obvious landing.

Hey BF, I think if anything, air can be attached to Ar-Cav for now if you want.I'm happy to take control of... what is it.. I do believe its two grav bombers and a grav copter (i'll be leaving the heavy one alone). But yeah, I'm cool to do that if no one else will...

Hey, I used an MG. I only fired the cannon at a hill. I can't wait to see what it can do to an armoured target. Give me tanks BF, give me tanks

The fact you knew him makes me think he can't have done it very fast, which I suppose is good. And in his defence, hills can blend into clouds surprisingly easily

Aye he's still around. In fact his mush ended up at the Jorvik centre..
it was one of those bubble canopy cheyennes (?) like in MASH. Fuel tank bounced of his flight helmet IIRC...

Meanwhile... so what do we do next... hopefully its all clear unless the patrols sniff out anything.

What we do now... we need to deploy our base properly. We have a 5.5 km gap to watch over, and two squads, two tanks and two bombers.
I think our best bet would be to have the main base at one end of the camp (as it is) and then set up a FOB about half way along. It gives us quick reaction times. bombers, SPG, a squad and a tank stay at the main base, with a squad and a tank at the FOB.
We are supposed to be controlling this, so fire team patrols from the bases would be our best bet thanks to manpower issues. One bomber in the air as often as possible, or a tank at readiness.
Thoughts?

Well, in light that nobody's willing to discuss plans, roleplay or pretty much do anything here, I'm basically proposing that we close this forum down. If I've not heard anything in a few days, I'll request that the mods do just that.

I'm a bit sad about it. I was enjoying this. And I will say that the main reason I wasn't discussing things is... I had no idea what to discuss. We're a reactive force and we had a plan...
